    Two very different pickups that are both coming with me on vacation came today:

    The first, Lebronald Palmers

    Really loving these but I had to pull the insoles due to too much arch support. Going to slap in something plain and thin.


    The second is a replacement for my Peg Trail 3s that hurt my feet. I realized I'm used to running in VFFs or Merrell Trail Gloves (before they fucked them up) so I picked up Xero Mesa trails:

    I'm in love! I also got Altra Superior 5s to try out, but there is too much cushion there for my feet.

    I managed to score the "Off-White" AF1 Mids in Black today - that was the first time I have ever been able to score Off-White for full retail. Even on the actual Off-White website. They dropped at like 4am.

    So as I've mentioned before, I wear embarrassing dad hikers that I buy from a place that has "warehouse" in the name. Lately, my partner has been trying to convince me that I need some white sneakers. While I'm not necessarily opposed, I recently repaired one of her pairs that had been scratched up and it gave me a chance to look more closely (it wasn't a great job, but they were deep scratches that I had to trim clean with a cuticle snip and painted over using Angelus white acrylic leather paint), and in doing so my ocd starts to come into full effect. With my brown hikers, scuffs and scratches are for the most part invisible. I even have a couple tears and you can't tell due to the style of the fabric. Those white sneakers though? every little scuff is super visible. I see little leather flaking bits everywhere. The spots where they rub or where the laces press are all discoloured. Do y'all just live with this? or do you have dedicated shoe cleaning regiments?
