Thanks for the heads up. Is anyone able to vouch for their USB cable? I was just getting ready to explore buying a nice USB cable, nothing crazy but I am willing to spend a few extra bucks for something quality.

I was going to ask the same thing about their interconnects and digital cables... are they a noticeable step up from BJC? I see @ColtMrFire has a Morrow Audio cable for sale... maybe he has some insight on them in general.

One note - the code is only for new customers and only good on your first purchase.

The Morrow cables are great and worth pursuing, at least the lower end models, not sure how worth it the higher end stuff is, but I haven't heard them... though I haven't explored many other cable manufacturers either so I can't say how they stack up against others. I'm selling my DIG-3 because of tonality against other components in my chain, not because I'm unsatisfied.

I don't have BJCs to directly compare to, but I will just second the Morrow thumbs up, I've recommended them to audio friends and they've loved them, especially for the price. Just keep in mind that they ALWAYS have a 40%+ sale going on, never buy them at list price (particularly important to keep in mind when buying used).

I'm right in the middle of A/Bing against an old Transparent MusicLink Super and the Morrow MA-1 holds up well against it.

    Also very flexible.

    I worked on this before I left...ridic at $299 pre-order right now: https://drop.com/buy/drop-audio-technica-carbon-vta-turntable

We made sure the tonearm lift was solid, VTA adjustment was included, the wood looked purty (feels good too)...and it comes with carbon fiber cleaning brush to go with the carbon fiber tonearm. Comes with built-in preamp but you can bypass later if desired.

You can get an extra upgraded Microlinear or Shibata Stylus for another $100 on Amazon.

Awesome that I bought a close-out one for $679 just over a week ago.

Edit 7/6/22: Schiit Audio generously and kindly refunded me the difference. I'm most grateful to them for doing so. I ought not to have posted the above before giving Schiit time to respond - thanks for the suggestion @Merrick, I'd emailed them - and I regret the fit of pique. It was good of them to issue the refund.

That's rough. The math is still screwed up on the site. You can buy a new one w/DAC for less than the closeout unit currently listed.

Edit: different DAC, I think? Nevermind.

If it’s within a week just email them and ask if they can refund you the difference.

AIO streamer+DAC in Canada: distributor clearance of the Volumio Primo Hi-Fi edition (ie including a lifetime Volumio Superstar subscription): $CAD 499, which is ~EUR 373 vs the EUR 649 price direct from Volumio.

    https://www.everestaudio.com/volumio-primo-hi-fi-edition--clearance.html

Other AIO streamers for comparison: iFi Zen Stream price is $CAD 599, Pi2Design Mercury is $US 599. I haven't seen SQ comparisons of the Primo vs either of these, or heard any of the 3 myself - but it seems to me the Primo's internal DAC (optional; also has coax S/PDIF out) and included Superstar subscription could add significant value for people whose use case could include either or both.
