    My wife and I caught the downsizing bug so I'm puttin some more stuff up for sale. Today... the top half of my BWC system. As usual, I start the bidding at 50% of retail.

    I put a bunch of Dynamat-like stuff on the horns to dampen em. I can dig up parts for a passive 12dB XO if you want em.

    Current retail prices:

    HF146 on Parts Express: $334.00 each
    FaitalPRO LTH142 on PE: $142 each

    So, we have $952 worth of horn (retail) that I'll let go to SBAFAmigocitos for $450 plus shipping (coming from Bozeman, MT). Will consider splitting the horns and drivers if you can get @YMO to wax his chest hair (photo or video proof reqd).

    I'm definitely flexible here, so let me know your thoughts if you want to MAKE. A. DEAL!!!

    Are we lucky that your wife and you did not decide to sell the bottom half of your BWC set, I shudder to think what @YMO‘s comment would have looked like.

    Great f'ing seller. I’ve bought some horn projects from him before and built speakers + donated them to locals. Everyone buy before thinking. This is a deal

    @philipmorgan Totally off-topic.:)
    Did the dampening of the horns make a difference ( in measurements or listening)?

    Sorry, this slipped through the cracks. I can't definitively say the dampening made a definitive difference in listening because the dampening material did make a very significant difference with ringing when you tap the horn body with a finger and the psychological bias of that difference was too much for me to ignore when listening. I didn't do any accurate before/after measurements with the dampening, so I can't speak to that. As a group, horn enthusiasts aren't the most objective folks, but the consensus there is that thin, ring-ey-when-you-tap-them horns benefit from dampening. But also, it just *feels* better for the horn to have the hefty layer of dampening on it, and that's hard to overlook when listening, and I can't be the only one subject to that bias :)

    @shotgunshane @jexy These horns have sold, so this ad can be closed.
