That's f'ing awesome...damn. I grew up on the 70's on Space Lego, and that would last all of 12 minutes for the big ones. Once you lumped the kits together you could build all sorts of stuff, though. This is just beyond...progress FTW!

Looking up some Lego parts to build a light sabre, err or laser sword.

I forgot to post these a step back for DAY 5. We'll finish off the rest of the bodywork tonight.

Here the 6 cylinder boxer motor. Yup the crankshaft rotates and cylinders move up and down.

    DAY 7

Last box (not including wheels and tires). Front bumper and fenders, doors, and rear wing. It turns out that this took a little bit longer than expected.

Little bit disappointed that a lot of the internals are hidden, but the exterior body is fantastic - the best Technic I've seen.

Nice work! It's hard to get a sense of scale on how big the car actually is.

You've probably already seen this, but this review of that set shows the paddle shifters working with the 4 speed transmission: (Jump to 3min and 6 sec into the video to see the working paddle shifters.)

Some already did this is the SSD. They are missing the pyrotechnics and flames though.

I generally disapprove of such things. Reminds me of my son's more retarded friends, like the one who destroyed our White House architecture Lego. Too many dumb Hollywood movies.
