2016 Fall NY Mini meet - Nov 26

No problem. That's a lot of speakers! I'm excited to hear the BMR, I've heard a lot of good things about them.

 

Unfortunately the BMRs don't work well in Hooncake's house. His room has a peak at 70hz no matter where the speakers are placed in the room. Because the BMRs have such good bass extension, you end up feeling the subbass but not actually hearing it due to the room modes. It's pretty weird.

 

Can someone bring a sub/subs?

Ill bring Gungnir Multibit and bmr, and the 1.5 omegas if I pick them up.

 

Does anyone have a foldable table they can bring to the meet? I know @bozebuttons does, but he won't be at the meet til later on during the day.

 

Update guys,
After hearing bozebuttons HEK V2 I decided to upgrade mine before the Hifiman upgrade deadline in two more days.

I found the signature more to my liking as it was juicer and more lively.

I would probably recommend V1 for SS gear and V2 for tube gear,
Because with V2 the HEK is no longer a laid back can. ..
I can discuss differences in detail in the HEK threads.

Anyways, that means I won't have a HEK in time of meet.
Still have other cans.

 

I will be bringing the HEK V2 to the meet,I think it is a worthwile upgrade to the V1.

 

Hopefully all this awesome gear will still be there when I show up in the late afternoon/evening.

 

Is there any interest in the Noble Katana? @Kunlun can't make it to the meet but offered for me to pick them up if anyone wants to listen.

I have a Definitive Technology Subwoofer it is 8" with 250 watt amp

 

You guys can take the 5 train and then I can pick you guys up from the station by car if you have heavy or expensive gear. Otherwise the walk from the station is about 15m. I will be sending out PMs with the address soon.

 

I'm thinking I'll bring Elear, HD800S, Andromeda, Vega. Any amps/dacs that anyone is interested in? I can bring Yggdrasil, rag, jotunheim w/ dac, modi mb, vali 2 w/ amperex 7308, torpedo, crack, GOv2+, Leckerton, etc. upon request.

Might bring my Adam F5's and Jotunheim so we can compare to the OSMT (assuming there's going to be room).

 

I'll bring my 4-pin xlr to banana plugs adapter. Send me a text in the morning to remind me, just in case I forget.

@Hooncake Can I claim your Yggdrasil/lynx aes16 for my Sonett 2 and the Zana Deux Micro?
