TLDR - He was bringing too much personal drama and it was getting too distracting

What a trip! 1500 miles covered in about 3 weeks. By car...Even my ears hurt. Need a vacation from my vacation!

Yeah, I'm still in the habit of converting units back and forth. About 2500km here - once off the major highways, it's slower going. We were in foothills most of the trip to the west coast (Goa/Kerala). I'm jealous! I've never roadtripped the SW...Mostly up and down the East Coast and Cali up to Oregon after we flew across by air. I'm doing the rail next time :p and just renting bikes once I reach.

Awesome. That roadtrip to Vegas was great - for 3 nights we were staying in a nice hotel and then onto primitive camping at the GC. Quite a variety of activities! We used to drive to Phoenix a lot when my wife's sister lived there. I also drove to Santa Cruz one summer and spent a few months there. The first 800 miles or so is all in Texas.

Nice dude! This was pure beach bumming/camping, spur of the moment kind of thing. Interesting episode - One night driving, I got down to use the bathroom, friends hadn't noticed, and they took off. I was stuck in the middle of the night, with about 500 rupees, no cellphone reception, in vast farm area, where I didn't speak the local language, and about 500 miles from home. And then I sprained my ankle. :)

Did you perform the Turing test? Oh wait, some A.I. are algorithms connected to a user account. Decoding zeroes and ones is no fun...

Anyone want some guitar speakers for free? Dad is getting a bit fen shui prone... I may have a pretty decent guitar for beginners too.

I have a particular question for a possible buy, but should I start a thread on it or just go to the general thread?

Yeah, it's a bit of older tech (2001), a little niche as far as direct experience goes. I've read everything I could on it but I'm not able to qualify it against tech advances of recent, as far as if it would be money well spent... It's basically me trying to decide between a good quality older pre-amp vs a dedicated HP amp.

Thanks for chiming in on this though! Will definitely consider dropping this in the general thread. I usually try to dig as much as possible before asking, just can't wrap my head around this so far..
