Listening to Apple Lossless files on iPhone via HeadRoom Micro DAC/Micro Amp stack. A classic! Warm, clean, impactful presentation.

My kid bought a new xbox (since the ps5 is currently like hens teeth) just to play this game. Ah, disposible income; those were the days.

The background seems less noisy (of course, pops/clicks are there). Similar to when I switched from a generic power strip to a PS Audio Dectet. Highs seem clearer with better decay.

N00b question: does adjusting gain alter the sound reproduced? Other than making it louder/quieter, of course...
      1. skem
        skem
Yes, usually. There is often some quality effects from running transistors/tubes at higher bias/feedback, or output Z may change causing a shift in the frequency response and driver damping/transients, etc.

Yes! Gain is usually changed by adjusting negative feedback quantity.

For the longest time I didn't realize it had 3 outputs. Perfect if you're like me, running two different amps for different types of headphones + balanced studio monitors. I wish more DACs in general offered that kind of connectivity.
