Recent storms reminded me my old power bank was dead, got a 60,000mAh behemoth on sale. This could injure someone. Takes forever to top up. Sep 30, 2022 at 9:06 AM

Hah! Well who knows, maybe it's not as bad as I thought and the practical bit will push my grade over the edge.

And I'd say numbers are pervasive, even in arts. Universal language and all that. I don't actually mind, they do serve an important function and all, I just have stupid trouble memorising rules etc like assumptions necessary in regression etc.

HAH, tackling the root of the problem like sensible people? Who even thinks to do that?

Yeah mass consumerism is pretty much effing everything over, but this is a decent enough stopgap, helping mitigate the damage being done.

I remember playing OG FF7 and maxing out the game clock before calling it quits - 99:99:99:99. The worldbuilding and scene drawing were absolutely stunning, and the music too. I'd be just as enthused to play the OG version years later as this remake.

        1. Peanut butter, mayo, lettuce and cheddar cheese sandwiches. I ate these as a kid.
        2. The Canadian Bacon and 'kraut pizza allegedly originated in Iowa. Ham and Kraut is the cheaper alternative and it's pretty darn good. Mix a small % of swiss cheese in with the mozzarella.

I like both anchovies & steak. But steak is pretty much a once-a-year (anniversary) thing since we all became pescatarians in my house. And I'm not putting anchovies on my Ruth's Chris!

My grandmother used to ask me if I want both butter and mayo on a sandwich, and that always seemed not-quite-right to me. So I think I'd have to pass on PB&M.

Technicalities take a hit, midrange is weirdly coloured unlike the HP-3 where it just sounds recessed, maybe a tad aggressive (not resulting from excess treble which is its own issue). Wouldn't trust these yet IMO since it's stock compensation with channel mismatch through mids, but janky low-mid treble weirdness aside the upper end really is duller than stock.

What was the phrase? Ah right: Do not recommend.

I have a tiny bit of basshead admittedly. Didn't realize this until I tried some ZMF cans. Now I think my LCD-3 is too flat in that area.

I really don't like the look of the area above 300 Hz. Probably not for me.

Yup. Cup issues aside a main complaint I had with the X00 was the lack of "body" to vocals, turned out to be a function of lower-mid dips. This actually reminds me a bit of the Fostexes only a bit less *shout* and more "honk" in the mids. Stock 650 pads are still normal to me, so my ears probably aren't dumb :))

Not quite thinking of a shorter coupler so much as nozzle suspended maybe a couple mm from microphone, just to get rid of peaks and resonances altogether. Won't be representative at all of what people hear, but might be interesting to compare v. proper couplers
