@mitochondrium There were no hard and fast rules for it, but it was designed as a deterrent for keeping the noise posts down. One of the reasons we have a high signal to noise ratio here.

"Season's Greetings" has long been a parallel greeting in Britain. Whilst it may be used by those wishing to avoid the specific religious association, I don't think Christians will mind it.

It is frequently used on a corporate level in Germany nowadays, I did not know it was already in use in Britain before the PC navy set sail, Xmas will not mind you are right

It is a mindset thing, getting stuck on negative and some paradoxical problems is useless - do what you want, some people don't know that what they want sucks - for them.

Imo, SBAF could just make its own products for members and sell it to them.. For example DIY kits not bragg about how good Our stuff is. Still productive.. But then I guess we can't compare this stuff directly to other manufactured stuff.

It would be kind of biased as if talking down competition.
