Amazon has been "processing" my refund for 45 straight days. Wonder if I should just file a dispute and deal with the fallout Sep 17, 2019 at 7:09 PM

Generally they are very prompt. Connect with their customer service I'm sure they will help you out

@treboR @Ksaurav402 Thanks for the comments. I must have chatted or called them a dozen times. Every time they tell me to wait 2-3 more business days with no update afterwards. First time I've had customer service that's this bad from Amazon.

@Zhanming057 if you have tracking proof that the returned item was delivered, Amazon should process the refund within 14 days since delivery day. If they still lag, just chat with a representative online and tell them that it's already passed 14 days. Highly recommend talking online over the phone as well. It's faster and more efficient

Buyer backed out of a $10k sale days after he promised to send bank wire. I mean, I get that people run into problems, still pretty bummed.

I've learned that a sale is never done until I have money in the bank.

Keeping my views on gun control private, shooting a Contender in .44 mag is the most fun. Would have shot 45-70, but I still want my wrists

@JK47 The owner loads hot and laughs at the .500 folks about their 'puny' cartridge. Love the Thompson, would get one with the fancy engravings if I could.

Got to shoot a Tommy gun last weekend at my buddys place. That thing is fun, and kicks about as much as a .22

Shot 1 in 308 once - wasn't comfortable but wasn't as bad as I expected.

Hong Kong - Beijing - Seoul - heading home. Impressed by the JVC FW10000, Fitear Titan, Fostex TM2, and Derek Huang's frankenmod Qualia 010.

@JustAnotherRando Was not a problem when I was there, but apparently they've taken over the airport. My impression is that it's 99% very peaceful, but that doesn't mean that they're not going to disrupt your travel plans (e.g. shutting down the airport or the metro).

Hong Kong is head-fi heaven. The only problem is that the wind is currently clocking in at over 60mph.

I remember last time I was there few years back, even in September the heat and humidity was nuts. Can only imagine it right now with all the cyclones.

@netforce You tend to gain a healthy respect for the storm warnings if you've been here for a while. Unless I absolutely need to be somewhere, it's just not worth the risk of being injured/stuck somewhere without transportation.

@netforce typhoons bring temperature drops and really clean air up from the South China Sea, so it's more comfortable in some ways. The downside is massive amounts of rain (which can cause minor landslides out in the countryside.)

As hard as it sometimes is, try to wish the people who hate you some good: namely, that they will improve their character and change their minds.
