    A few people have asked about the cork mod. Since I have a big roll of cork I figure I could start mailing cutouts for folks who so desire. Some of the experimentation I've done has been chronicled here:

    What's special about this mod?

    • Same template as the proven HD800 mods
    • Self-adhesive backing makes installation easy. Also easy to un-install and readjust.
    • Better performance than felt or foam rings (by my judgement)
    This is not meant to be any sort of revelation. As you'll see in the above thread, I recommend this mod in tandem with the SuperDupont Resonator and SuperBAF Absorber mods for maximum performance. I aim to get the cork in as many people's hands as possible and get some feedback.

    I'd like to charge around $10 (going to stick to cont US probably) for this, but I still need to look into a way to ship it reliably (as I said, it can be fractured if pinched). I plan for any profits that are gained to be donated to the SBAF Bank of A-Merv-ica. So think of this as another mini-fundraiser for the site.

    In terms of timeline, depending on the number of interested, I plan to close the gates by next Saturday. I hate when people make Interest Checks that take years and never follow through.

    Waiting List:

    Yellow = Payment received
    Green = Unit shipped

    Understandable that you wish to stay in the USA with that, considering how fragile cork can be and the whole logistics of international shipping. As I'm stuck in the Southern Hemisphere, how are you able to cut the cork sheet relatively consistently? Or is it a case of it being a far easier material to use than the old foam sheets we used to use for the Anax 1.0 mods?

    Same template that you can find on Innerfidelity. Cork is easy to cut with a good pair of scissors. I'll do a bit of trimming with an exacto-knife to smooth the edges since I know people care about that.

    It'll be cheaper for you to find the stuff locally and cut it I'm guessing.

    Cheers, I'll give it a shot. Yeah its probably easier to get it locally but I'd had enough of PITA materials after messing around with that awful shelf liner material. From the sounds of things though the cork sheet is pretty receptive to cutting utensils.

    Last question, how thick is your cork sheet? Couldn't find anything definitive on the Bed Bath website nor anything regarding the product itself.

    If needed I have a bunch left too, I can send some globally to people here. Shipping costs the same no matter the country. My cork isn't adhesive but of course double sided sticky tape is included. Cutting is incredibly easy.

    I think the ring is done on my end, no more tampering. @OJneg you still really gotta try the DynaTrapezoid. Haha

    One more here. I'm curious to see measurements vs. rug liner etc.

    Also, recommendation for shipping - envelope, but taped to a piece of cardboard.
