I'll share some Indian Classical LP's that I enjoy immensely. They are damn hard to get actually...I'm always looking myself as well. Will be glad to share some real special ones. It is an acquired taste!
When I was younger, I loved dhrupad so much I actually studied pakhawaj for two years with Pt. Mohan Shyam Sharma. It's really beautiful and I'll be happy to make some recommendations plus maybe I can link to some decent intro explanations of Indian classical generally.
I am jealous.....I think those are really fortunate who know/understand/studied Indian classical/Hindustani music/Carnatic music....it must really help enjoy listening to them even more.
