@SKiring I would definitely be interested in your liner cutout pdf.

@logscool, since I posted it on Discord yesterday it's easier to just link that: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme...6/151426127389392897/HD800_liner_cutout_4.pdf. Also if you're using liner try to double or triple it up, you'll get the same thickness as the bath mat or probably the absorber material used on the SBAF mod. Thickness of the liner used makes a ton of difference! :)

One thing though I would still advise everyone to wait for the SBAF absorber to come out, but whether this cutout might work better is something to be researched in the future. I feel personally (I tried similar setups as the SBAF mod) that leaving the ring alone sounds airier and more to my liking, but it's all tuned by ear on my side until I set up my measurement rig.

I'll give a week or two for the rest of the first batch ppl to pay, or else your unit will be send to a second batch person.

I'd love to get on the list and pay the ten bucks.
Did I miss the instructions on where to pay? PayPal, etc??

This seems like a fantastic upgrade kit!

I'll be honest, given your tastes you should do all three mods: cork, absorber, and frenchmod.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think OJ is part of the no-dust-cover crowd.

Hmm, not sure, it did take a week for them to get to zero though.

Just take your HD800s and float them down the LA river. The only reason I bother is for science.

It's okay. We know you like dark headphones and neutral as f**k amps. Don't poop on everyone else's parade, though.

Maybe you should add buoyancy to your spider charts.

Actually, my veilhesiers are for sale. Just going to keep the MA900s since every headphone I've owned seems more problematic than the most problematic speaker I've made. Giving up on headphones.

Whoa...thats quite a move. I barely listen to headphones and even I have 4! (Audio Technica W1000, HD650, HD600, HD800). They come in handy every now and then.
