    Nothing fried: just some connection problems. 2100 Indian Rupees.

    Took my Audiophile Antique in. McCormack TLC-1 "Line Driver." Which means preamp. Scratchy volume pot and worn out connectors.

    I don't have a use for it currently, but the thing deserves a bit of, ahem... TLC!

    It's twenty years old. The designer still takes these things in for service and upgrade. 1. In USA. 2. This thing cost a thousand dollars way back then. Hate to think what the upgrades cost!

    My first integrated amp was a Cyrus back in 1996. I had that hooked up to a Marantz CD-63 MkII KI Signature with some Mission speakers. Good memories.

    Mine is a 6 vs2. But I also have the 3i that I bought in late 90s or early 2000s. Bought the new one because the old one failed. Later got the old one repaired. It sounds better!

    I remember replacing a 120W amp with that 50(?)W 3i and wondering if it was a mistake. Turned it on and found it to be a glorious success! Never since have I heard such a difference between two amps!

    6 vs2 repairs: the mute switch doesn't work. The remote does, so it must be the switch. I'll take it back next time I have to go that way.

    Apparently I just missed @Koth Ganesh, with an Eddie Current amp, at the repair shop.
