Foreword: I requested to loan and review this IEM from my hometown, Singapore. The Atlantis was what impressed me the most, with a clarity that rivaled the UERM and analytical signature that wasn't too terribly fatiguing.

    Analysis:
    • Definitely an audible peak going on in the upper midrange resulting in a perceived clarity boost. Gives energy to the midrange and may be too much for some. Overall balanced signature and mostly remains within the 5dB swing range.
    • Bass is a little light-footed despite the emphasis, as evident in the CSD sonograms. High THD also detected which may explain the lack of weight and heft in the lower frequencies. (Will have to repeat right channel measurements due to unusually high numbers)
    • All-in-all a very clean sounding IEM and a solid recommendation as a semi entry-level custom.

I'm quite visual oriented, so impedance curves (while useful) is hard to extrapolate to real-life performance, for me at least. I've acquired a 20ohm and 75ohm resistor and would be using those to simulate impedance changes directly instead.

    Notes:

The Atlantis actually sounds decently reference with a higher OI source. Perhaps not to the extent of 20ohms due to the increased rolloff past 7k, but increasing the OI does "tighten up the bass" (read: reduces bass impact) and "tames the treble" (observe: dampening the 7k peak and increasing upper-end rolloff).

I heard this very briefly when stopping by Treoo and was quite happy with the sound, just having tried UERR at Jaben earlier the same day. Does most things right for a lot less. I agree the bass has some rumble but doesn't actually have a lot of substance, thus the light-footed feeling. I only listened very briefly, but I liked how the treble had sparkle without being too forward - in comparison the MD+ I demoed has slightly too smoothed out treble for my taste.
