Thank you, just wanted to make sure i'm not missing anything, i think i will order the Teaks.

I actually considered the Focals before i got the HD650.

I wish there was more info available on the Mobius, but something tells me i won't regret passing on it.
    Thanks guys :)

Way out of my price range unfortunately, even more so with 19% tax and shipping.
Edit: oh i missed the "used" - have not looked around for any ZMF Ori used, in Europe. But their design makes them even less isolating than the Teaks, i think.

Depends on the deal, I got @Elnrik's Ori for less than your cap, shipped and taxed from the USSA.

    's why I mentioned it.

I greatly enjoyed the Emu Teak headphones when I owned them. Part of me wishes I hadn't sold them, they do some things extremely well. Be prepared to get different ear pads for them, as not many find the stock pads to be very comfortable.

As far as the zmf Ori or Blackwood are concerned, I think they isolate better than the teak. A little bit better, anyway.

I don't think so. I check frequently and it hasn't showed up.

Can you explain why you prefer the El DAC? I was searching about ít a while ago to compare with the Modi Multibit but can't find any direct comparision between them.

I wouldn't call myself a schiit fanboy when my gungnir doesn't get turned on much. Btw the element is nothing special imo, i liked the looks better than the audio qualities, preferring the stacks I had at the time (v90/magni/vali 1), but to each their own.

Edit - referring to synergy with the hd600 btw

And now for something completely different:

Has anyone an idea what kind of headphone is the most suitable for a two and a half year old girl? I don’t want IEMs or ear buds for her and the phones need to be a closed design.

I tried my Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 over ears on her - a bit big but oh so cute! A little bit smaller and cheaper would be great. Suggestions?

Sennheiser have released a smaller on-ear version of the same (not that much cheaper though). Sennheiser have renamed Momentum 2.0 to HD1, so there are HD1 over-ear and on-ear (and both come in wired or wireless versions).

The Meze 99 is smaller? Nearly too small for my head and ears.

The Neo version is plastic and more suitable for chickadees than the wood version, I think :)

I think I‘ll try the PX 100-ll or HD 2.10 - the Meze 99 and most other phones are way to heavy for more than a few minutes. And to expensive for short term (ab)use. If that wasn‘t the case I would just give her my Momentum 2.0 (still that name in Sennheiser’s home market) and buy an Aeon Flow Closed.

They look good, they are rugged, they are volume limited and cost peanuts. And they sound like ass. A 2 year old girl isn't going to notice or care about the last part though, especially because purple.

Those PX 100-ll look fragile (I had the PX-100 years ago).

I prefer the El dac over many I have used in my headphone setup. What it boils down to me is it sounds more natural with no glaring faults when I listen to it via numerous amps. Many folks complain of the AKM velvet sound and lump all dacs with it into the same camp often times, yet JDS does not use that filter as default. There are some dacs that use the velvet filter and yes they do sound a bit thick, not this one.

Also they have a strong ASIO driver which beats the standard Wasapi default in win 10 if you have a player capable of using it, like Foobar 2k.

I have owned and used the following in my HP setup: HRT Microstreamer, HRT Music Streamer HD, Centrance Dacport, Chord Mojo, Topping D30, Modi Uber, Modi 4490 uber, Modi MB, Bifrost MB, Benchmark Dac 1, Matrix XSabre, Gov 1000, modded Havana, Micromega Mydac, JDS c-5, ipod touch and probably some others I have forgotten about.

Many were quite good, some downright awful, and none sounded as neutral as the El Dac with my equipment. YMMV of course.

I currently am using AKG K7xxs they were better than my DT770s, mostly. Ive been considering moving to HD650 or HD6xxs. What I like about the K7xx is the soundstage and comfort..what I dont, well they don't really do anything really well aside from the 2 things mentioned before. They are merely OK. I like bass, so I need good extension and slam from whatever headphone I move to.

Would moving to the HD650 be a good decisions or am I looking at too much of a sidegrade with them and should I be looking up to different sets of headphones at this point. Keep in mind If I were to do that the max price would be 4 to 500 dollars.

Just my 2 cents, never heard an AKG with what I would call adequate bass and I have owned several. That being said, the 650s do roll off in that last octave. If you want anything in the sub 50 area, you will miss it. EQ will not help get it as distortion rises quickly down low.

I like bass and use the hd- 600s. I do not need super low bass however and have a very mild eq of about 4db at about 60 just to warm things up since I listen at rather low levels. I also do a small scoop at about 300 to get a bit more detail.

Senn 650s are really hard to beat and do many things right. A little delicate eq to lean up the mids might get you to where you wish to go. And they are comfy as all get out!

    Good luck.

To me, while the hd650/6xx is overall an improvement on the 7xx, bass extension is not it's strength, though it does respond pretty well to eq/dsp. But if that is a priority, you might want to try some other things. For $200, I don't think you can touch it, but you will probably trade some other qualities for additional bass prowess, especially at that price point.

@loki993 - I agree with what @bixby said, but I think the sound stage on the HD6xx might be less than what you are used to on the K7xx. Just thought I'd mention it. I've owned the K7xx and still own the HD650, and the Senns are better imo. Your preferences might agree, might not. GL
