    Have to concur here.

I had absolutely NO idea who(m) else had received "RDAC" prototypes/pre-production samples. "Massdrop" kept this entirely quiet. All I was given was pre-production hardware and an "embargo" time/date - IF I wanted to post a review/impressions.

This really belongs in the "Blind Testing" thread ... so (@purr1n etc. move it/delete as you see fit) ... but it was too much to resist ... especially once it was open ...

    Wine-and-RDAC.jpg

Since @Zbells brought wine into this, I thought it was fair game ...

I think, assuming a reputable merchant, that bottle runs a bit above what Massdrop are asking for the RDAC. Of course, the bottle will last maybe a couple of hours to, perhaps, 30 minutes in company - and the RDAC should be good for years.

151 units are sold so far. Seems successful.

There are only two things wrong with that picture ... the glass is too small. Not enough headroom for swirling and enjoying the delectable bouquet available from Latour. And I'm not there to share it.:D

There is no such thing as bad press. All the drama has done is expose more people to it. People are going to buy it in droves because it sounds good, it covers the R2R niche, and it's relatively cheap. Thank goodness that people are not so stuck up on measurements like Amir.

Me drinking that would be like 300 dollar tubes in a $100 chifi amp.

See, this is why we need you here. I would have tried pairing the RDAC with a Germain Riesling...

"Bit-Perfect", though I wouldn't change my commentary on the sense of bite with it in "Minimum Phase".

For those that don't read the comments on product "drop" pages, @CEE TEE has confirmed that the micro USB input will be changed to a conventional USB-B connector for the production run.

But is it genuine NOS, or a Russian or Chinese knock-off?

Size, shape, colour and etching of the bottle, font, size and hardihood of the text on the label, etc. must all be inspected very carefully...
