The Guardians don't seem to be very good at their jobs. They are always constantly losing and Earth is on the brink of total darkness in every piece of DLC.

Last of Us part 2 was the only thing at E3 that made an impact on me. Really looking forward to that one. Cyberpunk 2077 will probably be the second coming of sci fi RPGs but they didn't show any gameplay.

I have been wishing for a proper Blade Runner game for nearly my entire gaming life. I am trying so very hard not to get too excited about Cyberpunk 2077, but given the quality of the Witcher 3, I can't help it. The Deus Ex games were good, but something was missing for me (maybe too much need for stealth and climbing through vents).

Last of Us Part 2 and Shadows Die Twice were my highlights.

Bloodborne really took me off guard and became one of my favorite all time games. I'm on board for whatever they have to offer.

As for the Last of Us, it's in my top 5 all-time and is most likely in the top spot. This means that I'm pretty nervous...the possibility of #2 ruining things scares me.

I had been playing tabletop Cyberpunk 2020 for about 8 years every almost weekend when I was a kis (along with DnD and Vampire The Masqurade) so I’m very excited about this game. Also Witcher 3 is the one of two games I got 100% trophys. I think this will be my first preorder.

Last of us 2 is also my most anticipated release. The way Naughty Dog tells a story is really something. Last of Us storyline is better than all zombie movies I've watched.

Aside from other well-known titles, Dying Light 2 definitely has my attention. Loved the first one for all its flaws but its cheesy story really stuck out like a sore thumb. I was about to write off the sequel into a "buy on sale" category, then Mr.Chris Avellone walked onto the stage and kicked me in the nuts with "lasting choices and consequences." I'm excited - the guy writes great stuff. Then again, I'd play anything that involves Chris Avellone. A big fan of his old work in Fallout 2 and New Vegas. (Will have to finish Planescape Torment someday!)

Metro Exodus looks like fun, too. I was really turned off by the stock/cheap sound effects, though. I've heard that "knife" sound effects since I was 5.

Im a Battlefield guy so BFV is probably one of the biggest releases for me, that said as a guy that been playing battlefield game since the original 1942, not much Ive seen about he game actually has me hyped about it. The beta will deterrence my "Hype" level for it.

Was really hyped for the The Division and it was a letdown in general...great concept but poor execution so if they can nail the execution for the Division 2, especially the PVP stuff, it will be a game I play a lot

Ive been wondering why no one had made a shadowrun/cyberpunk MMO game as it seems like a perfect fit for the genre. So I will definitely be watching the cyberpunk game closely.

I really like the original dying light so DL2 is intriguing.

Finally Fallout 76, Ive never really played fallout as I generally prefer multiplayer games but since they will be completely online and multiplayer. Plus the added survival elements and even plus the private servers this may be the game Im looking forward to the most.

I played the hell out of Overwatch for a while but lately I haven't been and I dont know why honestly. I think mostly because most of the people I play with aren't playing. I generally have much more fun gaming when its with people I know.

I might start a new thread, but after a lot of research and getting past my own cheapness, I have started to build a fightstick. Starting off with 3/4" bamboo ply (also known as IKEA cutting boards) and have a Sanwa stick with Seimitsu buttons. Currently going with a Zero Delay USB encoder since I will be on PC for now. Thank you to everyone that chimed in with suggestions.

I like the cutting board idea. It should be durable, easy to work with, and look nice without any extra surface finishing. This is making me want to try a few things as well.

I have a couple crazy ideas for arcade stick/controller hybrids...

Just a few notes on these boards:
    1. IKEA lists them as 3/4" but they are closer to 2/3"
    2. They are way harder than the birch ply I am used to - takes a lot longer to bore holes into.
    3. They have slightly bevel to the edges which require trimming if you want everything flat.
    4. They are pretty prone to tear outs when cross cutting, so prep accordingly.
Otherwise, yes, these are a great value for all the reasons you mentioned. Their density would make for some great speaker building material, too.

Hmm...Sounds more difficult to work with than I would have guessed from chopping things up on my own bamboo cutting board. I've never needed to drill or cut it though it though...

Those beveled edges would look nice on a cabinet too.

    Is this the one?

I recently got an LG OLED55B7P and a PS4 Pro and catching up on exclusives. Currently playing Uncharted 1 remastered with 4k and HDR and it looks amazing!

Chain is optical from TV > RME ADI-2 DAC > HD650 for gaming or Andromeda for movies/Netflix.

Autodark really helps keep the immersion with the OLED blacks. No distracting lights!
