Yes, with self- insurance, UPS/Fedex only. No USPS.

Don't hate me for asking, but would the insurance fund be just to cover potential shipping problems or would the new insurance fund also be to cover cases like the HEX that went missing?

    Purely for shipping.

What I've found is that personal handoffs for loaner gear doesn't work well. No one's fault. There's just no process for tracking a sent or received and no one box that contains everything.

Sounds good, Marv. Thanks for clarifying.

I'm curious as to why no USPS. It's usually cheaper, and I have had nothing but good experiences. I had one item break, but within a week I got the ~$100 for insurance claim.

Quasi-governmental agency that requires an incredible amount of paperwork to file a claim and six months to get back, only to tell you that claim is denied or another piece of paper is necessary.

I'll append, under $500 is OK.

I'll say I've never had a problem with USPS and like to use/support them them since the Gov't is shitting on them.

That being said the negatives are all too valid and makes sense to me.

I more than appreciate the loaner program and will abide by whatever the Council deems appropriate.

My claim was painless, but for a realatively small amount of money. I understand the concern, and that others have had issues, so it makes sense.

Going to re-iterate NO USPS for boxes over $500. In fact, simply going to say USPS not recommended. One too many incidents now.
