Nice! I was having some issues with my copy. Kept skipping/ looping the same groove over and over and the needle kept jumping off. I haven't had that issue on another record so I assumed it was just that one.

I've been listening to the digital version at least. I'm also waiting for part 2, although I have no idea why they released it in 2 parts. I assume it was a decision by the New label.

Played all the way through perfect for me. Sorry to hear you had a skip :(

I think they are releasing it in two parts because it would be two LP/CD anyway, and the second part might not have been finished yet. Either way I'm excited for it.

Colemine Records puts out nice pressings with beautiful packaging! If you like funky music, do yourself a favor and check out DLO3 and Colemine.

Listening to the new The Record Company, 'All Of This Life', if you like their first release, or like well-produced, original and inventive blues rock you will like this. Bonus: quiet vinyl! 20180708_190025.jpg

@Wilson and I had a short discussion about Lou Reed last night, reminded me to play this live set with the fantastic Sweet Jane 'Intro' by Steve Hunter. I bought this a long, long time ago (and how could I not, it's a "Best Buy"!) and it still sounds fantastic, so quiet!

Just got part II today... It's just as good if not better than the first part. Totally blown away right now.

Between the Buried and Me - Automata II on transparent pink vinyl (I left my felt on for this one, since the arm isn't adjusted for the lower height and doesn't sound as good without it.)

Chuffed to bits that Teenage Fanclub have re-released their albums at last. I got in within the first couple of hours of pre-orders & managed to get these two signed copies :)

Picked up G n R Appetite For Destruction “Alternative Album” white vinyl, used during a Labor Day Sale. It has the original cover art that retailers refused to carry back in the day. This is one of those bands that brings back a lot of good memories for me. If you see the “Alternative Album” do not buy it! The pressing is so bad I literally thought something in my chain was broken. Changed headphones, then amps, recharged the shadow then slapped my forehead and changed the album. The last time I heard something this bad it was due to a component failure. DO NOT BUY!

Picked this up on a recent trip to the record store along with some other good albums. This is a brand new pressing. I almost bought a 1975 third pressing for $50 but it had some major scuff marks despite the VG+ rating it was given. If I already had the album on vinyl and I wanted something collectible I would've picked it up. This one sounds incredible and flawless. Now I just need some frames for the included posters.

Edit: Moving on to something heavier... Wow this album sounds so much better on vinyl than the CD rip that I have.

Pretty scratchy but still enjoyable. Hank Williams.

Yggdrasil has kept me away from vinyl too long. The Daktaris reissue brought me back. My brother got this CD probably 20 years ago and won’t give it up, so I bought the vinyl reissue which was remastered from the analog tapes. Never heard this album sound so good. Heavy heavy afrobeat. FB3685C6-958D-4A1B-AE5F-D506075FCAD0.jpeg

Not a giant fan of Greatest Hits albums, but I couldn't sleep on this one.
