I was alerted from chatter on other sites that SSD was having trouble completing orders, making refunds etc. PayPal is apparently no longer a payment option. I just tried "ordering" an album up to the 'complete order' stage, and received an error message after clicking the 'Pay With Credit Card' tag. I hope Seth and crew can work through this, but it's looking grim. More competition is always a good thing. In the interim, and until more info is available, I'd advise not purchasing that $6k deck you've been eyeballing. Or, well, anything. I hate to add to a struggling company's woes, but I hate more that consumers lose their hard earned cash. Sincere good luck to all involved.

That’s really too bad. Have had a couple excellent experiences with them.

Confirmed. I'm one of them. Sick of these fucks. Luckily it's just a couple box sets, but either way, I'm done with SSD. They've got a week before it's charge-back time.

Latest web rumor mill has SSD being purchased by importCDs.com, who will supposedly do right all outstanding orders, at least on the music side of the business. Presumably the majority of defrauded consumers can get restitution from either paypal or their cc company. What seems 99.999% certain at this time is that a Seth-owned SSD is no more.
