The new ones are clean as hell, super smooth job.

 

Just a simple automation: laser cutting of pleather + punch press on foam. And then you simply can't assemble everything crookedly. Also that saves enormous amount of time.

 

It's interesting to contrast this casual description and the overall product price against, say, Focal. Which sells replacement pads for the Clear and Utopia at $200 and $250.

 

This project in a whole should look contrast to big brands.

Any ideas on the SBAF version yet? I'm really curious about what you're gunna do!

 

I thought about it and decided to print SBAF on the top knob, that adjusts angle. For sure, right now I have lots of things to do You can check progress on Kickstarter page if you want.

 

Just make sure you hide the SBAF in the photos if you ever have to sell your pair on Head-Fi in the future.

 

What took me by surprise is that fact that I have TWO backers from Head-Fi.
I understand that many people use both forums, but still they hit the link on SBAF.
Maybe people there just tired of tons of pre-paid advertisements and reviews?

 

I fear your headphone is rather getting drowned out by the noise of many other new headphone news and introductions (that are most likely quite inferior to yours).

 

Why? This is the quiet time. I am sure it will get a lot noisier when we plug them in. In a good way.

I'm also guessing they wanted the sbaf exclusives you mentioned in head-fi.

 

I like HF and this place equally. Not because of business related things, though. I enjoy quietness of SBAF and - purely subjectively - its darker layout. Because of this it resembles some kind of an underground organization plotting on how to take over the world. Plus, I can't say if it's only me, but this site runs faster.

 

So SBAF is the evil lair of the shadow council?

Hey, finally, some new posts on here! Been lurking for a while checking weekly to see if anything is going on.

I ended up selling most of my other headphones in favor of the verums.
I think I plan to get the zebrano set, and plastidip the grills black.
Anyone else have any mods planned?
