Try the HD800s with the HD600 profile. It did wonders when myu HD800 was stock.

    Edit - "wonders".

Hey, not sure if anyone else is getting them, but watching Netflix (via the desktop app) with true-fi running on my desktop triggers a U7361-1253-C00D36B4 error code. Have to exit out of it completely and the error goes away. Anyone have any ideas how to get True-fi and Netflix to play nice together?

Edit: turns out setting sonarworks to 44.1 and 16 bit in windows audio settings fixes it. Leaving my post up incase anyone else ever has this issue.

Finally bought True-fi on Black Friday sale, decided to do it when True-fi added the PXC 550 profiles. I use those headphones more for ANC than for Bluetooth. When I cannot avoid noise, I use PXC 550 wired, and I want them to sound their very best. I thought they were decent until I got True-fi. Of the three headphone profiles I tried: ATH MSR7, HD800S, and PXC 550, the difference True-fi made to PXC 550 was the most obvious and it improved everything.
Instrument separation, layering, tonality. Without True-fi, PXC 550 sounded congested, it was OK but there was nothing I liked about the sound. With True-fi rcessed mids were fixed, bass and treble (age customization) are slightly, but tastefully elevated. I actually turned off the bass correction and it sounds even better. Now I am listening to a pretty well balanced and way more resolving headphones.
I will wait for the mobile version of True-fi, free with the desktop license on Nov 29 to try the BT profile, but what I heard so far was pretty encouraging.

MSR7 with True-fi sounds more acceptable in the treble but I could live with MSR7 as it is.
As for HD800S I prefer them Oratory 1990 EQ settings after adjusting 97Hzlow shelf to 5dB from the Oratory 1990 original 10dB, as it was suggested by many in the HD800 EQ thread.

My setup here is JRiver 23, Asus Xonar Essence STX (SPDIF), DacMagic Plus,Talisman T-35P or Nuforce HA200x2 as monoblocks.
I could not make True-fi work with Roon.

    Edits:
    1. True-fi is working with Roon,I needed to uncheck exclusive mode in True-fi, and set the exclusive mode in the Roon True-fi zone. Have no idea why but now it works.
    2. I adjusted Oratory 1990 for age, tried to do it similar to True-fi: high shelf 2db at 10kH, with 0.5 Q.
    3. From RPi 3 Digi+ Pro with Oratory 1990 EQ, adjusted 10kH and sub bass, HD800S sounds remarkably similar to True-fi fron Xonar Essence STX coax.

    Lots of fun.
