FS: Audeze LCD 2 2016 and (IC) Sennheiser HD800 with SDR

Hey guys! Selling my Audeze LCD 2 2016. Its one of those unicorn ones that sounds really good. It will be $old shipped in the CONUS.

The HD800 is a bit of a weird one. It has SDR...and I had it sold before but a guy wanted a refund because they have a musty smell. I’m receiving them in the mail tomorrow and since, quite frankly, I didn’t smell anything like that one them, I’m not expecting much of an issue. I’m not asking money until after tomorrow when I can heck them over, but they’ll be listed for $old. They have some wear and tear on them. And their S/N is fairly low. I’ll update this post tomorrow with pictures of the HD800.

I recently bought a s/h pair of the Hd800 and there was some strange oudor after I opened the box. I guess someone could call it musty but for me it seemed like a smell of chemicals . Thing is they were also SDR modded. The smell was completely gone in a day or two.
Could it be coming from the SDR and absorbed by the pads in a closed box?

It's the smell of either the foam Sennheiser uses in the box and/or the adhesive used between foam and box. But yes, very chemical-ly. One reason (of a few) I was glad to get rid of the HD800. Maybe they fixed that with the HD800S.

 

Now that I've realized it, my HD650 box also has a "wet cardboard" smell if that makes any sense.
