Thought it might be fun to have a running thread on what folks have in the queu for backcountry adventures. Tips, suggestions, stories welcome. Here’s what I’m thinking through summer 2019.

April: Death Valley Nat'l Park: Fall Canyon—>Red Wall Canyon Loop (3 days), looking for other suggestions to round out the week.
June: #1 GSENM, Utah: Early Weed Bench-->Escalante River Loop (3 days) (open to other suggestions, but preference for river hiking in the sweltering heat). I'd also love to do Paria Canyon but I haven't figured out shuttle. #2 Zion Nat'l Park: Trans-Zion Trek (4-5 days) or something in Capitol Reef (suggestions welcome)
July: Lost Coast Trail in NorCal (4-5 days) or something in Kings Canyon (suggestions welcome)
August: Yosemite Nat'l Park: High Sierra Camps Loop (6 days)
September: Maybe a quick Labor Day weekend trip to Ten Lakes Basin, Yosemite Nat'l Park
