It is not a coincidence that this is for sale right after JK47 sold his so for anyone who thought they were too late, here is your second chance!

I actually bought his Aficionado even though I already owned one because I wanted the feedback mod. Except for that missing piece, I was perfectly content with it. It is the best amp I've owned and I've owned many EC amps before (ZD, ZDT, ZDS, BA AD1, 2A3 MKIV). I largely started down this hobby when I first heard his ZD OG many many years ago and while never is really never, I'm pretty happy ending my amp journey with this one...so hopefully, this amp goes to someone who can really enjoy it and get the same feeling.

This Aficionado that's for sale was purchased from JoshMorr and has Jupiter caps.
Works without any issue and in excellent cosmetic shape.
It will come with the same tubes that JK47 included with his amp:
Electro Harmonix 2A3 tubes, GE5670, and stock rectifier.
Have the original boxes for shipping.

Price is a little less since there's no feedback mod at $2450 NET to me.

I'll leave it here for a week or so but if it doesn't, will be posting elsewhere.

@cskippy - I think these prices are more of an SBAF community benefit than general market prices so I wouldnt expect the same price elsewhere. At the end of the day though, it will be supply vs demand.

From what I've read, honestly, I think the EC house sound and Don Sachs would be fairly close.

 

I agree. If I were to buy the ECA, it would be to use as a headphone amp.

 

If you happen to be taking a vacation in Hong Kong soon, lug it with you and consider it sold. But since that is unlikely to happen, GLWS.
