@treboR That's okay, but it'd would be very hard or impossible for us to make it any cheaper. CNC milling gives in my opinion a very nice aesthetic and quality, though it is expensive.

That about USD 330 (excluding shipping). Not sure why the price could be so high as a woo audio aluminum stand costs $90 for a dual headphone holder (while your design is for a single holder). I dont really think the woo looks any worse (its actually simpler), is height adjustable and is very sturdy to use. More than 3x the price with less options (not dual headphone, not height adjustable) for an over engineered product might be for some people but not for many. It looks cool yes but in the context of price it's a no-go.

@Jozurr Its a different manufacturing technology, it takes more time to make and it was meant to look different.
We like industrial design and we tried to integrate it into our work.

@Legura, nice that you have a cnc machine in the garden. I wish I even had anything that could be viewed as a workbench!

But about the stand, I think you are in the wrong place. We have members who spend at all budget levels, but SBAFers are more likely to spend money on sound rather than props. People here with 300 Euros too spend would buy a headphone, not somewhere to hang it. And whilst it is nice, it is nowhere near 300 Euros designer nice.

There could be a few buyers, but that’s at least 250 USD more than I would like to spend a headphone stand.

I also dislike the look personally. A more minimalist design fits my preferences better. The headphones are the focus. Not the stand. I’m sure some others may feel differently.

I don't think anyone doubts the cost of manufacturing, or that the aesthetic will have an appeal to a certain audience...

but the trend I see people getting at is that while your stand looks nice and is expensive, what functionality does it offer aside from being a fancy paperweight and holding one pair of headphones?

No spot for the cable, no adjustment for headphones of different sizes, only holds one pair, and is expensive. This is $300 out of reach for what I would consider reasonable. To me, a product like this should value utility first and aesthetic second. Seems the other way around here. Too rich for my blood.

Not for me, and if I went to a buddy's house and he had a row of these for all of his cans I would probably just wonder why he spent so much on these when the money could have been put into better gear or other hobbies / life choices altogether.

@Legura , it looks like you think that your expenses as manufacturer somehow should add value to a product in eyes of potential buyers... I don't care if it is extruded or stamped or machined if it looks, feels and weights the same.

Nice work I like the stand. If I was going to spend over $200 on a headphone stand I would rather buy yours than the $250 stainless steel stand Focal sells.
