Also in the Vancouver area. Would be fun to check out some ZMF stuff.

Full list of gear in my profile to throw into the mix if anyone is interested. Also possibly the Ether 2 soon if I really can't help myself.

If you end up getting the Ether 2 I'd love to do a comparison between it and the Auteur. Hit me up if ya do.

    Or just generally haha

Hey guys is anyone here interested in joining a little loaner tour of the ZDT Jr. amp? I will be sending it to a couple audio friends and you guys can join the tour if you want. Just let me know and I'll add you to it. :O

I'd be interested, although I'm only an acquaintance still :(

I do headphone/audio reviews on youtube, I could do one for the ZDT Jr. as well as a writeup for SBAF. I don't have measuring tools though, just sound impressions.

If there is a meet up in Vancouver, I could bring a combination of the following:

    Jotunheim Mulibit
    Asgard 2
    Pono
    Massdrop THX 789
    H6xx
    Senn 598
    Cardas A8 IEM
Cardas Balanced Cables for Pono and H6xx.

This is basically all of my digital setup except the MacBook Pro. My Vinyl setup is the Kickstarter UTurn turntable with Mani or Haglabs Bugle Elite preamps.

Edmonton Headphone Enthusiasts is having their first official meetup of 2019 at 2pm on February 24th, at University of Alberta's Student Union Building, in the Marigold room. Be there or be square. :D

I want to go but I can't commit.

Roads between Edmonton and Calgary can get pretty icy. I have studded tires, but it's still a Nissan Micra.

I don't have much to bring. Aeon Closed. HD600. Chord Mojo/Poly.

Sold my Mytek Brooklyn DAC the other day, I miss the resolution already.

Hey Canadian Friends - anyone in Toronto area interested in a meetup? I have support from schiit to bring up a kit of stuff sometime this year, and I can usually rustle up some other fun toys (Ether 2 anyone?) to bring. Let me know so we can gauge interest.

My folks just moved to Comox.

Jealous. The Island is amazing, I just visited last week.

Which one - Provincial or Federal? Their plans seem to be different...

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I’m visiting western Canada next month and would like to ask for advice on tour sites. I’ll mostly be touring in Banff National Park but will also spend a couple days in Vancouver. If there are any awesome places or restaurants to visit in Vancouver, any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

Not a Vancouver native (will be in a couple of months), but spent some time there...

Stanley Park: walk (or hire a bike) around the waterfront trail and through some of the forest trails.
The aquarium in Stanley Park: good displays of the local marine environment.
Museum of Anthropology at UBC: haven't been to this one myself, but it features on a lot of 'recommended' lists.
Vancouver Art Gallery: local artists and sometimes good travelling displays; saw a big Picasso exhibition there a couple of years back. An exhibit of the work of 20th century sculptor/painter Alberto Giacometti is on there currently.
Happy Hour at the Bayshore Lounge, corner of Davie & Denman Sts (English Bay): excellent late afternoon through sunset views over the bay from a bar-restaurant with an 80s vibe - or the same with a 30s vibe from the restaurant at the Sylvia Hotel (nearby on Beach Ave).

Whereabouts in Banff NP are you planning to go? Pretty much everywhere in the park is a zoo in August.
