FS: ECP Audio L-2

Price: Too low to list without randos asking to buy it. Update: ogodei is a hero and gave me leave to list it at whatever price. For now, I'm going to hang onto the amp. If I relist it, it might be a realistic value price.

I had a trade lined up that fell through, but I still need a preamp or speaker amp. I've been using IEMs and speakers predominantly and don't need a great headphone amp.

This is the one with the upgraded CineMag output transformers. Power umbilical was upgraded as well.

If nobody wants it by the end of the weekend, TMR Audio is probably getting it as a trade-in.

I'd consider selling it for what it's worth but I don't want to be a flipper.

I fixed a bad solder job on the replacement transformers and bought 4 more NOS tubes.



McLaren not included. He was probably at CanJam buying a HiFiMAN product.

 

Is the McLaren included in the sale?

 

Not at this time. I briefly stepped foot in CanJam when I realized I didn't have time to go to the SBAF meet and it was out front.

Only reasons to go tomorrow if you didn't go today are ZMF, ampsandsound, and to sorta hear the SR1A. I think there's a new IEM that people are excited about but I didn't try it because gross.

 

I'd go for a trade but I know you already have what I want to trade for these (the Platinum)

 

I actually prefer this to the Liquid Platinum.

Some folks' replies have really made me get introspective with this sale. I think I'm going to sleep on it and make a real decision as to whether to sell tomorrow.

Having what is effectively a dedicated HD650 amp seems stupid, but at the price it's probably smarter for me to delay my next speaker-setup-related purchase for month or so.
