Yep, I'm getting 7.0 and 6.4 from each cup now, all sounds good and balanced.

It was also kind of cool getting the hundred or so coat-of-arms stamps on the package, they went to a kid who collects stamps.

Great. 0.6 ohm difference is about 0.4 db difference in output level. Now cups are usually even better balanced.

    p.s. Don't doubt, even I've made some mistake - i'll correct it.

Ordered these thanks to the initial hype train. Guessing February, but knew you were a startup so tried to just forget I ordered them in case it took two years. Have a baby now so will leave it that sound impressions punch way, way above their weight and in line with others...very limited time to use them. Kick ass with the super seven by the way. Also own ZMF, Audeze, and Senns. Honestly the biggest surprise was comfort. These do not look comfortable but man they really are. I have spent a good chunk of life in motorcycle helmets, combat helmets, football helmets and bicycle helmets. I don’t care about comfort really and am often confused when others critique it with headphones but noticed it, or failed to in this case the first time I put them on....or I have an oddly shaped head. Very good.

I only mention the following because we audiophiles tend to be a bit pretentious. The cable quality and packaging are, well, not great. With that being said I wish other manufacturers would follow your lead. The box was enough that they arrive undamaged and the cable was enough to prove they work wonderfully. I can fix that cable on my own or aftermarket. The box...Over the last 8 years of moving around the beautiful Audeze LCD 2.1 wooden case, every time I move it I think two things: 1) they could have shaved $200 off the price by leaving this out. 2) I could turn this into the cat litter box...because when I move I throw those away and it’s an automatic cost of moving that will eventually add up to $200.

I'm using 4 ohm. So far so good.

I'm thinking as long as it is equal or below 8 ohm, it should be fine. Lets just stay below 8 ohm to be safe.

It means half of the supplied power will be dissipated inside the amp, so if the amp is powerful enough and not running too hot, it can be done. Personally I'd not do it.

Only when I entered personal audio hobby I realised that solid state amps can have output impedance more then 1 ohm. And that really took me by surprise ;)

    p.s. June orders shipped!

Some like myself appreciate it, kinda makes you feel like you're opening a present; others don't really care one way or the other as long as they get what they need out of the box.

Also, some people just have no joy in their lives and want to spread misery, as if there weren't enough of that already.

The Verum was always (as far as I can tell) marketed as a utilitarian pair of headphones that sounds better than most others you can get in that price range. Sure it's still a lot of money for a number of people, but that's just where the headphone market is now and what comes of uninformed people taking many things for granted— I remember someone on Reddit was throwing a hissy fit about how the drivers used in the Borealis and Australis cost $11 each and the fact that Aurorus used MiniDSP EARS to tune the headphones instead of a GRAS rig or something. Sure better equipment and costlier parts can help, but that isn't all that can make a good product (cases in point: Ultrasone Edition 10, Grado PS2000e, first-generation Beats Studio [I actually like modern Apple-owned Beats, but they're not excellent value still]).

TL;DR unless the headphones were damaged as a result of your packaging, don't mind. You didn't say on the Kickstarter page these'd come in a velvet-lined paulownia box.

Garuspik, FWIW, I would suggest on your website that you state the headphones do not come in retail packaging and maybe how the shipping box will look for international customers upon arrival (and say the headphones should be cosmetically/functionally perfect upon unboxing).

Might prevent future PayPal dispute claims. I've received packages that look like they've been thru multiple wars which I guess can make other buyers nervous.

I personally don't give a shit about retail packaging because its going in the trash anyway. Maybe a simple cardboard box to put the headphones in would give ease to your customers?

Just stay courteous and reply the product that was purchased was indeed delivered all the way from Ukraine, referencing the tracking number. I doubt PayPal will side with the customer in the case the product was delivered just fine....

I proposed to ship it back and then receive a refund. It's clear that this guy is already not happy.
Maybe next time I should propose fancy box is an option. Same as good cable. Cause from my point of view most of us in this hobby already have favourite cables.

People forget that all those fancy boxes have to be paid for --- by them. OK, so it's like a touch of luxury, and if folks do like to pay for it, fair enough. But it is the contents that count, right? I remeber calling that first Oppo 'phone "A fantastic box with a free pair of headphones."

And no box? hey, look on the bright side: no unboxing videos! What an absurd and useless contribution to modern culture they are!

@Garuspik, I think it is a good idea that you do include something to the effect that packaging is only designed for and suitable for transport. To keep costs, and the price, down. Market it as a plus point :D

Offer a Pelican case with plucked foam for a couple hundred extra dollars and see if people keep making a fuss over a cardboard box.

Welcome to success. The more you sell, the more strange things you run in to.
I doubt the dispute will work if the headphones are undamaged. Some kind of buyer's remorse has set in other wise he would just plug them in and see how nice they are.
With that, I would institute a restocking fee for returns not due to defects.
That is common everywhere but Amazon who can afford free returns for rubbish reasons.
