I can't say in enough ways how much I enjoyed this game. If you like Japanese style shooters and have the opportunity to pick this up, DO IT!

Now I look forward for Blasphemous. This is going to be glorious. Dark pixelart styled metroidvania with holy/unholy vibe all over the place. Very brutal, can't wait!

Sekiro is eating my lunch. I’m getting better with parrying, death blows, running away from bad situations, and learning each enemies tell signs.

I’m sticking with it and hope to one day get Platinum. Beautiful game by the way.

Agreed, it's not only about sheer gfx but visual direction in general. They nailed it.

wow. i am a big From fan with hundreds of hours into the Soulsborne games ...but Sekiro made me cave... i was really into it for awhile for some of the Tenchu vibe. Sekiro broke me though.

Ah, bummer. I just finished NG+ and now have a NG++ and fresh run going simultaneously, haha.

What was it that did you in? A particular boss?

The hardest transition from Bloodborne was learning how to block. Dodging will get you killed pretty fast in this one, haha.

hahaha yeah i was a serial roller. to be honest, i think having a 3 year old was what did it for me in the end. i just couldnt get the alone time to settle in and learn the game well enough. i was at the boss at the top of the castle from the beginning. after the crow tengu guys and the enemies on the kites. that boss at the top made me quit.

I have a 9 year old and 3 year old, so I completely get it.

And yes, Genichiro. He's the first real road block for a lot of people. Just google Genichiro rage and have some fun :D

Just saw this trailer today, for System Shock 3. I still remember how much System shock 2 freaked me out.

Anyone messing around with Destiny 2 now that it was released on Steam? I'm really enjoying the shooting model and the enormous amount of free content they've given to hook you in. With the couple hours a week I have to mess around with games I'll probably be playing this until (checks watch) I'm 53.

After beating Sekiro for the 3rd time I've finally moved on to Red Dead Redemption.

It's going to take some time to adjust. After a very fast-paced game, everything feels like it's stuck in quicksand :p

Oh man, enjoy RDR. Its main strength is the storyline. Treasure the moments. Live out your days. Dont rush it. Games like that dont come every year.

So, I know well that JRPGs (basically weeb wish fulfillment) is a niche within a niche not often done well outside the Persona/SMT franchise (you're of course free to disagree but you'd be wrong), but has anyone here picked up Code Vein? Not sure it's worth ponying up full $60 price on Steam even though it seems to be right up my alley.

Few friends are playing Code Vein, looked like a Souls game from what I saw. I will probably grab it on Steam during the holiday sales. I should get through the backlog of crap I have right now.

Personal rant: I'm terribly, terribly bummed that Doom Eternal got delayed to next year. I have never been this hyped for any game since Half-Life 2 and it's something I look forward to the most this year. At great risk of sounding like a total loser, I'm feeling quite a bit empty right about now. I know, I know, "Bad game is forever bad, the delayed game is eventually good" and all that but still...:(

Anyway with that out of my chest, is there any game I should look forward to that is coming out this year? I'm a big fan of the original Fallout creators so The Outer Worlds is definitely on my radar, but if anyone knows some dumb mindless shooty-mc-shooty-dude-bro vidya to relieve stress after work, I'm all ears.

Honestly, I haven't been gaming at all for the longest time. Bit bummed that I've got some unfinished games from years back on my PC, but it's just not been as fun for me. Growing older sucks unwashed butts.

Kinda optimistic a trashy, trope-filled, Souls-esque JRPG might get me back into the swing of things though, and eventually give me the kick I need to finish the stuff I have on the backburner. I'm probably with you waiting for this to get a Steam discount, probably won't be a very long wait given how things have been on the platform as far as I can tell.

While I'm here, throwing in a random rant about how Persona 5 would be perfect on the Vita so why the hell doesn't Sony un-kill the poor underutilised console.

Borderlands 3 seems promising, but I refuse to give Epic Games any of my money so I'm waiting for steam release next year. I've been playing Risk of Rain 2 and it's been really fun.

I will check Risk of Rain 2 out, thank you!

Same for me about Epic Games. I'm planning to get Outer Worlds from other stores just to not give EGS a dime.

BL3 is awesome, although the story line from the 2nd is better.
The same problems with Epic Store we also had in Steam, leaking private info/stats, abusing resources, etc... So i don't see why anyone should consider steam "the good guy" now. They all just care about one thing, our wallet.

One good thing about waiting for steam is that the game comes full patched from day 1.
