Yep ... one wonders. When I made up the FedEx label, it calculated that $400 USD would be required on the recipient's end. That was shocking, but pretty d*mn close, according to the exchange rate.

It's a wonder we can sell anything at all to the EU, with that going on (not trying to be political, but GEE WHIZ!!!).

I owe him some tubes (one broke in the trip), but I can honestly claim those as a gift, so hopefully no more taxes.

 

It sucks but sometimes you get lucky. I didn’t have to pay anything when i bought a crack+speedball years ago. Under a certain amount you don’t get any taxes as well, though it’s something like a 100 bucks i think.

It also seems to matter who you ship with. If you ship with usps you have a greater chance of flying under the radar...

 

USPS First Class mail used to never get taxed, but not anymore, now those too are inspected from my experience :/

Has anyone tried GEC A2900 tubes in the T4 ?
Do they sound better than Mullards ?

Yeah, I'd pass on that as well. First try the absolute throngs of cheap tubes, maybe your ticket can be had for less.

 

I've started on a new batch of T4 headphone amplifiers that should be ready by late March. I'll update on progress with some photos here, from time-to-time.

Meanwhile, I instituted a major upgrade to the Beezar Audio store website. It's a work still in progress and many more features will continue to get added as time goes on. Primarily, it was to implement a fully responsive web configuration (smart phone and pad compatible), but there are many other enhancements as well.

Like everything else, there are probably some bugs that show up, too. Feedback is welcome, but please use a PM or e-mail. I don't want to de-rail this thread from the focus on the T4. Thanks!

 

Hi, has anyone tried planars on the T-4, say cans from Hifiman etc? I know it’s would be a good pairing for my Auteur but I also plan to get a planar some time in the future.

 

Lol? T4 peaks at like 330mw output. Wrong amp.
