I could be wrong, but in there I believe the specialist clearly said that one does develop immunity.

EDIT: This is why I find information about this sickness so frustrating. Media outlets need to make this critical information crystal clear. Those government FAQs have not been updated, probably for weeks. The "we don't know" things need to be regularly updated with what we now really know.

We should be disappointed on how the House was trying to kill the process. To me trying to push aside the Constitution for convenience is terrible. Rep Massie did have the right to request the recorded vote.

Eh, I need a beer. Can't control the process so can't stress out about it.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a much more complex issue.

Here's an excerpt from an interview with top German virologist Christian Drosten, who's been researching corona viruses for years. He and his team are currently researching immune response to CoV-2 in German patients.

(Google translate, with a bit of editing on my part, to hopefully make it understandable)
    TL;DR:
Possibly two different ways of immune response, formation of neutralizing antibodies in most but not all patients.

In my quest to be quick, I wasn't clear... my point was that smart people are trying to develop a vaccine because there is hope that some level of immunity might be developed against this virus. Obviously, no one knows (yet) whether we might be able to develop immunity, how long it would last, or how often "booster" shots might be needed if a vaccine is developed.

I understand that we don't know everything about this virus. I was trying to combat Pacotaco's statement that there was no chance of immunity and that people may suffer heart attacks if they get a second time.

    ------------EDIT------------

Looking back, it also appears that my original post replied to the wrong message. I didn't mean to reply to yours, I meant to reply to pacotaco's... My bad

I'd urge people to stop reading news from click bait headlines. Peoples' fear now is not just getting the virus, but also getting it twice. This line of thought is utterly retarded. This isn't the first bug humankind has experienced.

I expect the next set of click bait headlines to be how this virus can mutate into being as deadly as Ebola.

Nothing we can do about any of this. Rest in the emptiness of unease you porkers. You have no control.

Oh, I agree with you, @purr1n. I just hate seeing bullshit posted. The odds are in favor of COVID-19 being very similar to the other corona viruses and we will have immunity that will last a while. That means after this season, with those that already had the virus and recovered along with the vaccine that will surely be available, herd immunity will protect most of the people that did not get the virus or get the vaccine. We just have to get through this first season......

I'm sitting out in the park with a coffee now, my once-day-break from the kids at home.

This literally caused me to spray coffee everywhere.

Damn we love our ice cream at home. I didn't notice any shortage in the last 3 weeks I bought some each time. I'd rather go without toilet paper than ice cream...

Bought three boxes. Have only a small freezer, so can't accommodate more.

That Albertsons did not have a shortage of ice cream last time I went. I'm assuming people went nuts when they found out toilet paper was still out and instead bought ice cream to compensate. The Coronavirus Neuroses chart explains this behavior.

Unfortunately it does not work the other way around. Frozen chocolate milk is really, really solid. Hammer and chisel solid.

As you can see, the zombie apocalypse won't prevent me from having my evening Bloody Caesars any time soon either. I usually buy Wyborowa, but it was not on the LC's delivery menu. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices.

Maybe zero people will be interested but here’s a good article about how every Texan’s favorite grocery store chain has been preparing a plan for this for years. They also have emergency response crews that go to hurricane locations, etc.. to provide food and water etc..
