Finished my work for the week after a week of a lot of work, enjoying some four roses now.

I just toured the Four Roses distillery recently. They have an interesting history, going from one of the biggest bourbon brands in the U.S. to then shipping all their bourbon overseas. It is only within the last decade or so that they have begun distributing their bourbon in the U.S. again. The link below is to an iconic picture where Four Roses is being advertised in Time Square.

Well the next logical place is Lagavulin if you want more of the intensity. Talisker 10yr if you want smoke but a bit more mellow.

Nice! As it happens, I just got back from dinner out where I had a "Long Day At the Office," which the menu tells me was a "Four Roses, Campari, Cynar, sweet vermouth, and bitters" (in other words a fancy Manhattan).

    That's my newest split keyboard.
Kinesis freestyle 2 I got at Goodwill for $15.
I also use an Apple adjustable keyboard I got on Craigslist for free, and I am working on building a split mechanical keyboard, but it isn't working, need to troubleshoot it still.

Got ZDT Jr. going out of GOV2 into my HD650 which was on an extended loan at a friend's place (in exchange for a Utopia + Subpac loaner). Just got 'er back today and experiencing this lovely imperial stout for the first time. Already a huge fan. But contrary to my expectations, I actually miss the Subpac now. :)

Thanks to alcohol delivery, and a remembrance of years past, I'm enjoying what I used to drink in the pool hall oh so long ago: vodka, triple sec, and lime juice, the good ole kamikaze!

Deciding between my last Costco purchase: Suntory Toki or Woodford Reserve. I'm good either way.

Supporting our favourite local establishment (Buckstop, Vancouver) during this takeout-only time:

Beef dip sandwich special; Left Field cider from Merrit, BC; and in the jars, Four Winds IPA from the bar tap.

Pretend you don't see the cable mess at top left. Gotta work on that...

Edit Foresight loses to hunger & thirst: it would have been safer to have transferred the food & drink to new vessels and washed hands one more time before partaking, as has been recommended in the corona thread.

The local bar's fancy hand-cut ice cubes were available for takeout, too. But an Old-Fashioned wasn't on their takeout menu so I had to make my own.

At any one time I have a bourbon and a scotch open. Finished a Laphroaig 10 last week and opened an Ardbeg 10 Friday. Meh, and in the past Ardbeg has always been very high in my single malt rankings. Had a couple pours just now, and, aah, the bliss is back. Weird how the last thing you've had can influence the next.
Not entirely dissimilar to audio equipment, eh?

    This was good...

...and isolation-accelerated consumption, while not quite ABX, has only served to reinforce my subjective impression that a good Vino Nobile is better than a good Brunello. And far better value.
