The original list is closed. We have more people on it than mods I can really make right now with what I have on hand but I'll see what we can do.

Don't worry if you miss the first run. The material is in great supply, the instructions are simple, and we're going to try to find more people willing to make the mod and distribute if we can. I'm sure someone can sell these for about $30/pair and it will be worth his or her time.

The material is way easier to cut with scissors than other materials from past mods have been. I've been experimenting and I find taking the printout and TAPING it to the rug pad, and then cutting it works really well. This mod is pretty dead simple.

I'm going to be honest, between work, family, and the difficult things life throws my way, I sleep very little already. I didn't understand how busy it gets until I had a family, but working a really crazy job and trying to spend time with my kid and wife is not easy. I give up sleep for SuperBAF and this includes the many many hours spent on the mod. I'm not dicking around at the water cooler when I'm on the forum; it's a purposeful choice that I make because I want the community to rock. I really don't have the time to cut, package, and ship these out but I've committed to making sure the mod documentation is decent and then ensuring at least 50 pairs are out in the wild so we have a variety of impressions and perspectives on the mod.

Hell, even the documentation requires some time. I have the DXF files that print correctly, but for some reason my PDFs are always off by literally 1-2mm. I'm also trying to find the easiest way to cut the material out. If you let Marv distribute the mod, this is the documentation you'd get:

Seriously, that's embarrassing (and I had to add the creative commons license). f**k that, you guys are going to get some useful info all together in one PDF as well as the DXF file for you intrepid adventurers willing to try new things and an install video later on down the line.

Look, I dumped a bunch of my money into the mod and the time it takes to cut, manage logistics, and ship out the orders is non-trivial. I can't really commit to making enough premade kits for everyone. This is why we're going to make it dead simple for anyone to replicate and install.

List still final but this thread is now reopened for updates/discussion. I'm cleaning up the materials today/tomorrow to publish V1 of the SuperBAF HD800 Absorber Mod. Those on the list will get a PM soon with a survey to fill out. All pairs have been laser cut and I have some shipping containers that should work for folks in the US.

    Gotcha, makes sense. :)

Will do full impressions and post it in OJs thread as I go since we're doing the same thing, as soon as it arrives.

I already filled it in but I can probably source globally if needed, prices here are exceptional: http://www.postnl.nl/en/mail-and-parcels/mail/international-mail/.

Seriously though screw the shipping on that organic stuff, $99 to get a rug here that costs $30.

I have a friend with a laser cutter and may be able to make these. Does anyone have a spare piece of material to do a test?

Will mark the US buyers who paid in the first post this weekend. Have packaged up most of the US ones and will stop by the post office to get them out next week.

The international ones will require some coordination. Don't want to overcomplicate getting them to people overseas but I want to minimize the time delay and cost associated with import compliance so I'll be thinking it over over the weekend before reaching out.

I am only collecting payment for US addresses first. Trying to manage shipping in a semi sane way.

Will it be possible to have a pair shipped to London, England?

If needed, I can pay for shipping.

I am in no rush to get them. After looking at the list, it's gonna take a while anyway.
