I just did. Looks to be working. Note that it doesn't extend an existing subscription, but is managed entirely by Best Buy. The 1 year starts as soon as you buy it, and it renews via Best Buy as well.

@Luckbad, how did you add it to an existing account? I purchased the $99/year deal and when I try to use it with my active account ($20 monthly), it says "You are not eligible for that offer". In the worst case I'll open a new account but I'd have to transfer my favorites and playlists.

Hmmm, not working for me. Did you have a currently active paid subscription?

I clicked on "Activate Now" in the e-mail, and it brought me to this page:
    Screen Shot 2020-06-28 at 2.51.27 PM.png
I entered my activation code and it asked me to sign up or login.
    Screen Shot 2020-06-28 at 3.02.32 PM.png
After logging in with my current account, it says "You are not eligible for that offer" when I try to continue.

    I'll contact their customer service.

I think I used my gmail account instead of my Blizzard account (the latter of which had an active subscription, and the former was my original account). So, no I did not have an active subscription. After realizing this mistake, I subbed to Soundiiz so I could swap my albums and playlists and such over.

I had an active hifi subscription with a student discount (4 days left for the discount). That doesn’t work. Stopped the subscription but it didn’t change at all. Then created a new account with a free video plan, which could activate the code well.

My issue is probably the active subscription. However, neither the Best Buy website nor Tidal's FAQ mention that it is only for new subscribers. I opened a support ticket and we'll see what they say.

I received a reply from Tidal customer support. Signing up for the Best Buy one-year subscription requires using an inactive account, or creating a new account.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting TIDAL Support. My name is Alanna and I'm happy to assist you with your Best Buy promotion.

Unfortunately, this promotion is for new users or inactive users only. You will be unable to add this to your current account. I am very sorry for any inconvenience.

You can redeem the code by clicking ‘Activate Now’ within that email or by visiting offer.TIDAL.com/BestBuy.

Once the code is accepted, you can create or reactivate your TIDAL account. When that is complete, you will receive an email confirming your TIDAL account registration.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

FAQs and general information can be found at support.TIDAL.com.

    Best Regards,

    Alanna
    TIDAL Member Support

For myself, I plan to cancel my current monthly subscription (which will remain active until my renewal date) and then reuse the same account for the one-year deal. I also have Qobuz which is what I use the most anyway, and having Tidal temporarily interrupted wouldn't be a big deal for me.

Thanks for the tip about tidal and best buy! just signed up, no problems, cuts my yearly bill in half!

Also, i used your OTHER tip about soundizz for the transfer of all of my playlists & stuff to the new tidal account and it was super easy - well worth the $4.50. Thanks!

Those tweeter covers look fucked. Does it really not have an effect on sound quality as the seller claims?

edit** yeah that’s the twitter dome itself lol

They look awful to me. The seller claims, "The damaged tweeter covers are cosmetic only - they have no effect on sound quality."

Oh didn't look at closely. Now I think asking price too much. Two tweeters cost + labor cost should be considered as an additional element. Lore is $1000 new shipped.

    1000 * (40 to 60%) - 200 - X (labor) <= 400..

Doesn't make any sense to me unless below 400 usd.

Newegg currently has decent promotion pricing on what appear to be extremely high quality power cables, good enough for hospital use anyways. I don't make any claim as to sound improvement (personally not my viewpoint, but I certainly won't belittle anyone who does).

If you're in the market for good quality power cables, these might just fit the bill:
