Stagg Jr Old-Fashioned, but with gum syrup and a little 2:1 simple, instead of 1:1 simple syrup alone. It's nice.

I bought one of these to welcome in my 30 laps around the sun. A very good friend of mine knew I wouldn't drink it unless I had one spare!






I'm a big glendro fan from way back, this bottle was a bit of a gamble and I was really just going for the oldest 1990 bottling available. Incredibly complex, huge sherry bomb, most complete black currant notes I've ever tasted. Needs a bit more air and maybe a drop of water next time I revisit this very special bottle.

 

Yeah I tend to find most overaged spirits need a bit of air to loosen up, they're usually pretty tight and overwhelmingly woody new, but it's good you still enjoy the glendo now as well.

I seem to like the whole Hazy IPA craze. One of my favorites so far.

Grilled cheese and kimchi sandwich optional

 

1-1/2 oz gin, 1 oz St-Germain, juice of a whole lemon, one bar spoon of gum syrup. Muddle with mint, strain over crushed ice. Garnish with mint and lemon peel, drink at the end of a warm summer day.

 

Never had pleated Bunna before. Pretty sure I like this better than Ardbeg, don't @ me.

Can't remember the last time I had one of these. They were a staple in college for us. I'm now more of a craft ale guy and its not as good as I remember it, but it will do.
