RIP Red Velvet this year, they've put out several not that great songs in Zimzalabim and Umpah Umpah. Im not a fan of the new CLC either, Devil, even though Me is easily my Kpop track of the year.

the new Everglow album is great though. I think the new title track, Adios, isnt quite as good as Bon Bon Chocolat, but the other songs are better.

oh, i should include the actual MV too

My 3 year old twins are completely obsessed with Umpah Umpah, we've played it over 500 times.

Zimzalabim is underwhelming for me, but Umpah Umpah is fine. How about RV Festival day 2 B-side? I like their B-side tracks usually better than their title tracks.

Id consider ZZB to just a bad song, its poorly constructed and just doesn't really work as a cohesive track. Umpah Umpah doesn't have that problem, it has a different one, its just boring. Id rather listen to ZZB, but I just won't listen to either. I dont think the bsides on Day 2 are any better, I'm pretty bored by the entire release honestly. Id say its tied for my least favorite RV release ever. Like, compare Umpah Umpah to any of their better Red side titles, like ICC, Red Flavor, Dumb Dumb, Power Up, etc.

I did recently discover Dreamcatcher as well. Their song Piri is pretty great. I checked out all their previous titles, and I could see how they got to Piri, but none of them really did it for me. I also dont love the new one they just put out, Deja Vu.

Ive also been listening to a bit more boy groups lately. Everglow did a dance cover of Boss by NCT U

which I thought was pretty good, but as always happens for me when girl groups cover boy group tracks, I went and watched the original. and was let down by Everglow's performance in comparison.

They have got to be the best dancers in the entire Kpop industry. they've got a precision and technical excellence I dont think any other group has. Though Seventeen may be close-ish. Another excellent track of theirs choreo-wise is Chain

Is BOA still in the game? I used to enjoy her years ago and still enjoy her older music. Going to check this out after work.

Red Velvets summer hits are alright. I don’t prefer either Zim or Umpah.

    I’m digging Mamamoo’s - Gogobebe.

She does release some songs every now and then, but most of her recent songs are collaborations. She got one new album though. I still prefer her 2012-15 songs and some older songs.

Loona also has a lot of playtime on my playlist now. Their music videos are also fun to watch.

After seeing the first concert at KCON LA recently, I can concur with enjoying what the boy groups bring. However I have yet to listen to a bit of it (other than some BTS and a scatter of others) due to me having a large listening genre area.

That said, it'll be interesting when Super M gets online. Other than being a boy group, it's not a great idea for SM/Capitol to label them as a BTS type band here in the west. And for the most part, I don't think they are. Unfortunately there will be comparisons.

I only like 2 BTS tracks, Not Today and Mic Drop, which are their two more hip hoppy singles. Their more poppy stuff doesn't do it for me.

There is another NCT track that I like and that has some pretty sick choreo

How about K-rap or K-hiphop or whatever it is called? I like this track from their Double Dynamite album.

Just discovered this band "The Rose". A friend recommended it to me. Great voice.
