So I finally got all the must-have pieces for my pi2aes, or so I thought...it seems that in my infinite wisdom I forgot that I sent the only cable that I had when I sold one of my dacs...

If you have something cheap send me a msg. I know there's always eBay but I will keep that as an alternative, since I prefer to do deal with members.

    I am EU-based.

Thanks for giving me a minute.

I made one to use with PI2AES with Mogami 3173 and Neutrik XLRs. So there's always that option.

You can buy a 50cm Mogami AES/EBU 110 Ohm for like 30 euro on amazon, just sayin'.

Making it yourself is only cheaper if you can get the connectors and cable without paying shipping.

Doesnt it need to be 110 though?! If not than I will just eBay it.

I heard yes and no more times that I can't count but if it's all the same in this situation I can just get one.

Signal reflection on impedance discontinuities is a thing.

Whether that creates audible effects is a matter of debate, but after spending 200+ euros on a PI2AES and shipping, 30 euros for a cable that eliminates the possibility of an issue seems sensible to me.

Otherwise why not just use S/PDIF with any old RCA.

Thomann sells AES/EBU cables for 10-15€ but the shipping makes it only advantageous in some countries.

Thanks to @Taverius the problem is now solved. Thomann, even with shipping, is cheaper than the alternatives and i hadn't even thought about that store.

Thanks mate and to all that helped me.
