If you could afford it, what vehicles would you own? No limit to the number but be realistic. Probably 3 is a good number but whatever this is just for fun.

    my dream lineup would be:

1). Yet to be determined station wagon because Subaru stopped making them. Maybe the 2020 Volkswagen Golf sportwagen or Subaru Impreza wagon though neither one is long enough.

    Volkswagen:

    Subaru Impreza Wagon:

The bumper is too thick on the Impreza so I’d probably try to install some classic round Hella highbeam lights into those big intake areas on the sides of the bumper. Like the original WRX. I think that would look awesome.

Oh, and either one would get performance handling upgrades so they handle like a sports car.

    2). Subaru BRZ

    3). Jeep Wrangler 2 door

All in stick shift of course. Covers all the bases. Travel car, daily/fun driver and off-road fun driver.

While spending quality time with my aging parents in Manila ca. '08-'16, my daily driver was an '07 Honda Jazz (Fit in the USA) and I tinkered with this Austin Mini.

Now that my wife and I are back stateside, our daily drives are: '17 Honda Fit + '18 Subaru Imprezza. But I'm dreaming of another British classic for weekends in the warmer seasons.

Never actually stopped to think about this before. I assume within reason means not every car ever made, every car is $1M+, etc. I am also assuming no obscure brands and that the vehicles are actual commercially available vehicles with 4-6 wheels, not a say a snowmobile, construction equipment such as a CAT, motorcycles, or something :

    Classics:
    MBZ W136 or W153
    Mercury Eight
Camaro or similar car from the 1970's - a lot of these cars were actually similar enough mechanically that I'm not super picky about the exact details/model/etc.

    What I really want:
Acura NSX - not the new ones
Ariel Atom - one of the only two times I've been legit scared driving a vehicle down the street... even though it's only "as fast as a motorcycle"... it felt way scarier and faster somehow.
    Nissan GTR
Ferrari 360 or 430 - specifically in yellow or a metallic cream. Not the fastest, best driving, etc... just beautiful
Dodge Viper - 3rd or 4th gen ideally
Nissan R33 or R34 - rode and very briefly drove in a few, both are awesome
    Porsche 997.2 - probably the best 911
Porsche GT3RS - would not be comfortable at all as a daily though
Audi R8 - a car that I didn't think I'd like and was actually really fun

Comfortable, Practical, Utility, or Daily cars. Making this list made me realize that although the stereotypical BMW drive isn't my favorite drive... I have a lot of BMWs here.
BMW E30 (late 80s/early 90s 3 series) - this and the E46 were the best 3 series IMO. Too bad the E46 had enough random issues.
    BMW E39 (late 90s/early 00s 5 series)
BMW E38 (late 90s/00 7 series) - same as the E39 above - when a "normal" luxury car still felt nice but drove well, etc. too. Most new ones feel like experiments in cost cutting / how much can I get these people to pay for this stuff and don't drive well. Too much rushing towards the lowest common denominator as well with how can we make this thing more brain dead to drive and operate, etc... sucks a lot of the fun parts out.
    BMW F12 (2010s 6 series)
BMW F22 M240i (2017 to now), I suspect the upcoming M2 with the S58 engine will be pretty awesome... although maybe a Supra is still better. I'm very happy with my 240 right now.
New Chevy Camaros - slightly silly, unrefined, and almost but not quite tacky in their own way, but these bring giggles that none of the above BMWs can. And yes, I am one of "those people" who would prefer a Camaro over a Mustang.
Ford Focus RS or Subaru WRX - b/c a small AWD car is fun too
Jeep with Cummins diesel transplant - for offroading
Mazda Miata - any generation - because one can always get better at driving and this car forces you to learn to drive every time. A few people who are MUCH better drivers than me still keep one just for this reason. BRZ/Toyota86 is a closer second, but it's actually "too fast" as a strict "learn to drive" and slightly more forgiving.
MBZ Unimog - Ultimate camping / off roading / cargo truck work but not ideal for "normal" use or d.
Toyota 4runner or Tacoma or a Chevy Silverado - also with a diesel transplant - for when I need / want a truck

A random house wife / real estate agent / boomer-mobile mindless-driving comfort car like a random MBZ E or SUV equivalent, Cadillac CTS, Lexus ES or LS, etc. A4/S4 if I lived somewhere where I needed good AWD (hills/snow/etc) and actually had to pay a little attention when driving. Note that I still won't pick a Tesla even in this category.

A Honda Accord or Mazda 6 if I needed a "normal sedan". I used to really want a wagon, part of me still does, but none of the wagons were as good of a daily practical car as these 2 IMO when I was car shopping last year. A coworker overseas had a Citroen I really liked too, but I can't remember the car right now.

    Not realistic:
    Ford GT40 (mid 60's)
Modern Ford GT (before they discont again)
    Shelby 427
Koenigsegg something or another - in production, but not realistic given that I'm not a middle eastern oil prince/heir.

Could go on, but it's already starting to look a little unrealistic.

Currently driving a Passat R-line 6-gear manual. For me the direct dream upgrade would be an Arteon R-Line. I personally love its look...

Either that or a BMW 3 M-Sport, but TBH I'm not the biggest BMW fan.

Oops, my post turned into a nostalgia trip. I still want to share, though.

I really want VW Golf 3 and Toyota Corolla 2011 for nostalgia reasons - parents sold them off.

Golf felt nice, great visibility and nice, though mushy, simple analog controls. Soft springs, but hard dampers, felt very sporty at speed... Scratch thit, it's not a dream car, it was a nice tool for the job and I miss it a bit.

Corolla 2011 was totally different. Like a video game. Hated it at first. No feel in the brakes, laggy (drive by wire/electronic) throttle and weird progressive clutch that gets soft down in the end, like a compound bow. But the steering was marvelous. Electric assist. Very light at all speeds and ultra precise. 1.6L petrol liked to rev a lot. As a whole it was stupid fun to drive, both slow and fast! 6 speed manual, very short gear ratios. No touchscreen nonsense, just physical dials for fan, AC, etc!!! It's my dream to have the same one back!

I briefly tried BMW e46 330i on a "B road"... I don't get it??? It's, like, every odd boy's dream car here in Bulgaria (and every even boy's dream car here in Bulgaria is e36, now that's a beautiful classic), but that e46 felt sooo boooring, just a living room room with 240ish horsepower and a very unexciting, cold, Prrrecise Gerrrman Engineering front end, just, dead and robotic and a bit sluggish. Well planted, but lifeless. Being in the passenger seat is fun, though. It's fast.

My other dream vehicle is a budget mountainbike!!! Ive owned bmx, trials, dirt jump bikes and they all consistently brought more satisfaction than my supermoto ever did!!! The intimacy and ultra responsive control (10-13kg as opposed to 100kg) makes you feel like you have superpowers. Im now looking at Vitus Nucleus and other hardtail mountain bikes, but there's a huge stock shortage with most bikes this year, weird. I also want a trials bike again at some point, the amount of control, precision and directness is trippy.

The supermoto I own is a 2006 Honda CRF250R with street wheels/tyres. 42 horsepower, 100kg beast. Bought it used and abused, payed a lot to get it fixed and then it broke down two more times, so I ditched it in the garage for good, meh. I learned that:
    1. High performance machines are not worth the maintainance difficulties for me.
    2. Holy ****, that race machine throttle response, holy ****.
    3. Holy****, this thing is very tame and easy, until you drift a bit too much and it wants to bite your head off. (Worn rear tyre, easy to overstear under power. I went sooo looow down to the road one time in a slow sharp turn, I thought I was done and about to lay flat with the bike, but no, as I slightly backed off it gradually recovered, just pulled me out and up like magic).

I only crashed at speed once. Upset it with too much throttle on an S-turn in the transition and ended up wide and in a kerb at roughly 40mph, tumbled a lot on the side walk and only had scratches. Helmets work. Bike died (con rod or something like that inside there broke)...

If I was still a teenager, I would desperately want the Gordon Murray T.50 (spiritual successor to McLaren F1)... And also I really want to drive a Caparo T1. I loved shifter gokarts as a child and I have always wanted to be down low near the road and have sharp, responsive controls.

I've always wanted a Toyota W30 MR2 and it's forever my dream weekend car. Very small, 1000kg roadster, 140hp rear-midengined, alleged mainstream (good and easy) Toyota reliability/maintainance.

@rhythmdevils Right on, man, I've always fancied BRZ... Well, in Toyota badge for me, please, I'm a Toyota and Xiaomi brandf@g. If I had the money, of course. To me BRZ/gt86 is one of the few good sports cars still in production, everything else is heavy and complicated - not as pure, from what I gather.

I'd love me a Land Cruiser, but don't really need one.

For daily I want Toyora Yaris. I drove a late '00s model on two occasions, it's reminiscent of Golf 3, it just works and that makes it fun. Like what you actually want your wife to be - a kind, genuine, reliable person, not some supermodel or e-thot.

So in the end I taaake... Hmm...

If I had extra garages and infinate money:
    Lotus Exige 3
    Toyota W30 MR2
    Toyota Corolla 2011
    Gordon Murray T.50
    Toyota gt86
Toyota Land Cruiser, any generation is fine
    Toyota Yaris
    McLaren F1
    Caterham (any model)
    bicycles

OMG almost forgot, I will always want a Nissan Silvia S13 or S14, those are like the most beautiful things ever, plus I love 1980s and 1990s engineering, everything is so simple and analog and robust and works... Those are unobtainium now though.

    Realistically I want to own:
    Toyota gt86
    Some mountine bike
    26" Trials bike

    That's it.

We are living in a small mountain village in the High Black Forest in Germany, so we still get decent winters.
Bought a lightly used 2015 Subaru Forester XT beginning of this year. It has a great 2 liter turbo boxer motor and surpringly smooth and able automatic gearing (with many options + override).
Pretty much my dreamcar considering everything for our needs.

I'm a long ways from retirement, but I'd like to have (at least until I slow down in my 70's):

    1. Toyota Tacoma-sized 4x4 pick-up to use for fishing, exploring, and when the weather sucks.
    2. Premium SUV for my wife - like a loaded Acura MDX. If I'm leasing, I'd consider something Teutonic.
    3. A Corvette or some kind of muscle car (if they still exist). Not a classic version, but a modern muscle car. Mustang, etc.

I'm not really a car guy, but I could use a nice SUV for trips to the lumber supply or cross country road/camping trips. I've always liked Range Rovers and definitely dig the new Volvo XC90s.
A mid-size daily driver with some decent pep and handling (as opposed to the Camry we currently have). Used to really like Audis, but it seems to be the go to car for not-my-money young Asian drivers around here. Shoot, maybe just another Volvo in this spot like the S60.
I don't know how to ride one yet, but a motorcycle would be cool for the 20 days a year it is actually pleasant in Chicago. I like the Ducati from Tron, though something more touring styled so my GF could ride comfortably with me would likely be the buy.

Dream dream car has always been the Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger.

This once prices go down a bit more. Paying 50-60k for a C class is dumb, IMO.
Mercedes Benz C200 Coupe with AMG Night pack (black color but with different wheels, I don't like the black on black look)

In one or two years price is going to be around 25k euros used (like happens with all new Mercedes once they are 3-4 years old, massive depreciation), taxes included. Cheap maintenance here (Europe). Then I'll own one :)

If I could buy a second car, realistically speaking yet cost no object, I would buy a Porsche 993 with a RUF body kit, like this one:

    And that's it, I don't need more :D

Awesome cars! I prefer the more subdued, subtle RUF aesthetics but wouldn't mind owning a Rauh Welt.
This IROC inspired RWB build is gorgeous, IMO. A bit more subtle (ie: screwless fenders) than Nakai's usual style, but wider than ever.

What a lovely monster. Also, is awesome to see Akira Nakai's videos working on the cars, super cool dude and a master craftsman.

Good choice. Just purchased a new old stock 2020 m240i xDrive to replace my 10 year old 335. For a practical and fun year round car that I can realistically have, it's my current number one choice :)

I used to have a Yukon as well, but keeping 2 vehicles just for myself is not cost efficient. If I was still willing to do that, then either a Cayman or a C8 Corvette would be something I could seriously consider. A Jeep or an F-150 4x4 would be fine for the winter months. Sadly with those cars you gotta have both around here.

And if I win a sizeable lottery prize?

Most recent 911s, Ferraris and McLarens fit the bill for a dream summer car. Perhaps an X5M, Cayenne or Rover will do just fine on rainy or snowy days.
