Actually I have a TS parameter measurer, ill check it out tomorrow. Ill also measure the components. The one crossover is fine, the other is just all cut up by me.

    I'm teasing :D buddy:

Nothing to do with your funky/fascinating crossover you have there ;D it just looked like a wet-cell potato battery.

Just found that, the page didn't open at first, now it did. Thanks though, cool JBL still posts the specs of old speakers.

Curious if you ever finished this project SPWATH. I recently acquired a set of these speakers as well, Aquarius 1, and am only getting low end sound out of one of the units. Looks like I'm going to get into the crossover as well. Just wondering if you finished your rebuild, and how it worked. Considering buying similar parts for a rebuild.

Actually, I was going to get into finishing these up within a month or two. I am home from college for winter, and will have lots of time (in about a week when the semester ends), so I am going to finish fixing these and probably sell them, as I need to get them out of my parents house. Unless I really like them.

Good to hear, I may reach out if I stumble on this one. Rebuilding a crossover is a first for me.

As someone was saying earlier in the thread though, most of the components in this crossover shouldent go bad, so you might not need to replace parts, just figure out exactly what the issue is. Could be a bad tweeter or something too.
You have the original woofer in them/in good condition? That would be surprising, these usually deteriorate their surrounds and cones. I had to get a pair that were reconed, as as i said in the begining, someone put radioshack woofers in mine.

not too much info about these speaker in general though, I dont think they sold too many. At $288 each, $576 for a pair, or over $3500 adjusted for inflation today.

My S105s came complete with original woofer/mids/tweeters. No stands. Grill surrounds intact with loose cloth covering, non original. Also mine don't have the bottom portion that yours do, just square boxes. I found them at a Goodwill for $100 (had no clue what I was looking at). I have had to refoam the woofers. PITA. The lansaloy will not be removed with anything other than scraping. ~5-6 hours in refoaming them so far. Kit from simplyspeakers seamed to fit correctly. Careful cutting and scraping. Will post photos. Others drivers are fine. Tested 1 refoamed reassembled speaker and it sounds great. My other speaker, something is wrong, sound out of the woofer but no mids or highs... The tweeter cap is measuring ~4uf when it should be ~3uf per the schematic, it also appears cracked. I havent unsoldered mid cap to test. Was short on time. Im really new to this and have a question about the schematic that was posted as well. It shows the woofer connected in reverse? polarity. Is this true or? Something with second order?

    They live IMG_20201231_135629416.jpg

And now I don't know what to do.
After listening to them, I like them. They are actually really nice. I don't want to sell them. But I don't have a place to use them.
Idk... I'll have to do some thinking.

Ok here is what I am going to do.

I will bring these back to college with me so I can compare them to my big jbls with altec horn. Then I can see which ones I want to keep. Probably these, more suited to future life in an apartment, and smaller and lighter.

These seem to be technically better, but with less bass.
