I agree and that was what prompted me to explore additional complimentary FR compensation, which I found to be well worth the effort to implement.

I too use JRiver EQ to augment what SW does. Would love the capability to create custom curves.

Try the TDR Nova plugin if you want slightly more friendly but still free EQing that works with JRiver.

    Resuscitating an old thread.

I see Reference 4 was launched in October. Anyone here upgraded? Worth it? Also, does Systemwide work with the non-VST supporting Room?

Systemwide works as an alternate system audio device, and has worked with anything I've tried, but I haven't tried Roon. I only use Systemwide for noncritical listening, and real listening is done using the AU plugin. Version 4 looks a bit better, and there is now an even lower latency filter mode that helps to avoid problems with e.g. video syncing. Oh, and I haven't used windows.

Hi, I’m a retailer in Montreal (Layton Audio Montreal), and had a customer try out Audeze line, HD800S in store and he wanted to show off the Sonarworks software - I have to say I’m very impressed.

Please let me know if ever you want a new dealer, I’d also be willing to provide HiFiMAN, Focal and MrSpeakers headphones to be added to your database.

One of my buddies also just received some calibration mics from Sonarworks and is excited to set it all up.

    Cheers!

Digging this thread up again... I've played with SW a bit over the years but never committed. Took another trial recently to try it with my Clears and loved it. Being a tight-arse, I tried to replicate SW using voxengo and Toneboosters EQ plugins. But I couldn't do it. I decided it was time to pay up and did during this years' BF sale.

I've been wondering why I couldn't replicate it though. I'm definitely not able get the fine-tuning anywhere near as fine as they do. But I wondered if SW is doing something more than just EQ. I see there is are curves adjusting phase and limits in the SW visualiser. What do those do?
