FS: Brand New Focal Clear

Hey,

Was trying to offload gear I don't use to help pay for Stellaris.

I won these in a raffle, I used for less than an hour. Looking for $900 from Friends, $1k from randos but open to offers. I will pay for shipping but you pay for fees.

Did you ever get around to posting impressions? Curious how they fare against others in your stable.

 

I haven't but I was going to post. I have a backlog of gear impressions to write so trying to get through them all. Last 2 months have gotten alot of gear in

Selling something that you got in a raffle is rubbing some people the wrong way here, hence why you are getting some dislikes.

 

But that's the nature of windfall. Getting something by chance still means you own the asset/service and do with it as you please. I won something in a raffle recently, but it wasn't anything I really wanted. I'm in process in what to do with it right now, lol.

 

If they genuinely won't be getting any use then yeah, new home, but given what MSRP is the asking price for an effectively new one is... fine? It's nowhere near as great a deal as some other Clears that have traded hands here, but that's their discretion and heck, the thing likely has far fewer cat hairs on it.

This might have been nicer on other fora, though with definite disclosure of source.

 

Personally if I get something for free then I get rid of it for free. I think for some people it is not right on a morality level to sell something that you got it for free. I got free audio stuff in the past (some worth $300) and I just gave it away since I can't in my conscience make a profit out of something I paid $0.

Anyhoo...this thread is being detailed and it is partly my fault. I'll shut up going forward. GLWS.

 

I agree, I was conflicted making this thread as I felt like it would be somewhat immoral selling a product that I received for free, but ultimately felt that even though I won it for free, I should be able to sell it. Thats primarily why I tried to price it "fairly" (can it be fair if it was free?) for those here so that way it was more of a deal for someone who was wanting a new Clear.

Apologies for stirring the pot though, I knew it was going to happen, but hoped it wouldn't.
