At the same time, last thing people want is more left wing labeling (I hate the far right as much, that's another story). Better yet label platforms. I think the agreeable like-minded will kill all intelligence on this planet with their uniform pissuars. Including creativity, because your art made me piss my pants. Or your brand or your designs arent up to our standards, or exceed them.

Damn... I am thinking it would be better to own a Login only platform. It is your clubroom. Not everyone gets to run into your music listening sessions and making jokes with guys. Being in a smaller circle is cool and people actually might give a crap about each others opinions more.. Not what I "read" on the internet.

Again, forum platforms are great, I just need the right ones to visit.

Standard social media a is drug form "Brave New World", that's just my POV. Too much of a "good", too confusing, no practical value for many. You could wear a ring with a big shiny stone and look at it every day. Only reason a lot of people are on there is everyone else is and might be able to share their stories and pictures. It is false that everyone wants to be popular, No, people just want to communicate.

Btw, theAds do not make a lot of sense for the many. Most people can't go and spend their savings or dont have any do spend on your stuff. Not spending and building your own wealth, which is the opposite of loans and promises.

Hypermarketing is spend, be presentable, you want this etc. Almost counterintuitive what the current generation needs.

I don't need this. 90% of the good stuff I have got is without ads. Just visiting actual websites and review sites, critical thinking. YouTube is also somewhat useful.

How about we all lay off the dislike button in this thread. It’s becoming ridiculous. The dislike button is not meant to be used if you just disagree with the opinion expressed in a post. It’s meant for more serious matters ie posting something that goes against what this forum is about in a general sense.

We’ve agreed that political opinions are ok to be expressed here. If you disagree with the opinion expressed then post why. That leads to discussion which is the point here.

disliking posts you disagree with makes this too personal and leads towards this thread not working here anymore.

Taking the piss aside, stressful as things often are this thread is in my opinion educational specifically because many people's beliefs are being challenged and that may lead to reflection down the line. Just ignoring the dislikes appears to be the best course of action when you know you aren't being a deliberate wad.

I don’t care about getting dislikes but recent events have shown that they’re being misused in this thread and the misuse of giving them facilitates taking things more personal than they should be in this thread. These are all just opinions and should not be dislikable.

I'm actually surprised that there aren't more dislikes here. W/ regards to like/dislike/other system for this thread - I figured that the reactions here were just to be more efficient than too many replies from everyone and a clogged thread.

It may also depend on what we want out of this thread though. For example - I perceive SBAF membership as diverse enough with our beliefs, largely open to discussion, and more or less largely on top of their stuff, coherent, etc. - i.e. good to read the thoughts of others and reflect + help each other reflect upon our own thoughts. This is regardless of whether or not I personally agree with anyone on anything or people like/dislike my own opinions. I also like how there aren't strict rules/bounds on keeping it overly PC, etc.

With all of this being said though, I also could understand if this thread got locked down and we could only like/dislike/other system at some point or it became Purrin only just to make sure the forum doesn't get out of control, we attract the wrong people, etc.

There are interesting stories in the Christian history about "political parties." For example how the petty French King at the time, lied about the Templars, organization that came from their own soils and destroyed it. Over nothing, because there were no fruits for that labor.
