Hello Matt, how you doing. What cable do you recommend for focal utopia? Do you offer the noir version without the black cotton sleeve? Thanks

Hi David, I'm good, thanks. For Utopias personally I'd go with hybrid type regardless of an amp used, but that's what I'd do. Some people would make the same choice with warm(ish) decks and some would go regular Noir. As for sleeving, it has to stay in Noir. Sorry!

The cotton sleeves are so good and soft *.*

Lovely stuff to hold or have bump into you, and I think it does matter because Noirs have enough metal that it's actually fairly hefty when in-hand, but the soft sleeve means you don't feel them any more than the lighter Claire when it's, say, draping on your arm.

That sleeving is worth it. Pleasant to the touch, slinky, it does the job.

I was looking for a high quality but affordable replacement of a broken Hifiman cable when I came across the Forza cable lineup. I got the Claire HPC mk2 and I couldn't be happier. It is super flexible and has no microphonics at all. The braid work is really a pleasure to handle and the semi-transparent black really looks elegant. Delivery was very quick coming from Europe. I like the cable so well I plan to get an IEM cable as well.

3+ yrs ago I purchased a 2M Noir HPC MkII cable & an XLR-to-6.35mm SE extender. This is one of two high-end headphone cables I own, and it's easily my favorite. I like a relatively large cable, which this is--but it slides over clothing like silk & has zero microphonics.

When I first got it, I compared to 1-2 stock cables for headphones with Audeze/ZMF mini-XLR jacks. The Noir HCP MkII easily bested the stock cables. I never bothered with more testing...this cable sounds great on every headphone & amp. The extender is ideal because I can use any single-ended amp for any headphone.

The cable + extender weren't inexpensive, but I don't regret 1 cent of the purchase. I can strongly recommend this cable & ForzaAudioWorks.

I put in an order for Claire HPC for my Focal a few days ago. I'm curious how long orders to the US typically take to arrive.

Expect about 2 weeks from the time of order. Forza will email you when they ship and then it’s up to UPS.

As promised I bought a Copper Series IEM Mk2. The service was great. I ordered on 7/10 and they arrived 7/22. Everything I said about the Claire HP cable applies to these. Very well made and the transparent blacks looks very nice and doesn't stand out. Equally non-existant microphonics. Unfortunately in my haste to put in my order I didn't scan all the way down the list of what connector I wanted, as I chose the first and so got a straight connector when I really needed the L shaped one. But no big deal, I have a 90 adapter that works fine.

I am not a "cable person" but after listening for about 3 hours to material I'm very familiar with, I felt like I heard more detail. I did not try to A/B it, just let myself believe it's better and hear things with fresh ears and fresh ears are always welcome!

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 1.5 meter FAW Noir HPC mk2. I'd like to hear opinions whether using a FAW Noir mk2 pigtail to extend the length of the cable might affect the sound at all? Thanks.

Would you use a pigtail only to extend the length of your cable? In other words, the pigtail has the same type of amp-side jack as the 1.5m cable? If yes, I doubt you'd hear much if any difference between the 1.5m cable by itself--assuming the pigtal is also made of HPC Noir MKII.

I have a 2M length of that same cable. It's balanced: at the amp end there's a 4-pin XLR male jack.

I also have a FAW "pigtail" made of the same cable. The headphone end is a female 4-pin jack (to connect to the 2M cable); and the amp end is a 6.35mm jack. This pigtail allows me to connect the 2M cable to single-ended amps (I have 3 or 4 of each kind).

Speaking only for myself, the only sound difference I hear when using the pigtail (small) is due to connecting the cable to a single-ended vs balanced amp. And, of course, I would hear any sonic differences between the amps in question.

Just wanted to pop in here after nabbing a 6.3mm Noir HPC Mk2 for my HD6xx. I've actually always been a fan of Senn's stock 650 cable, much better built than it looks on the surface - actually tough to beat for any reasonable amount of money. But these are my favorite headphones. I see myself always having a pair one way or another, so I thought it would be a nice token to get a good, aftermarket cable. A commemorative gesture. Single ended, being SET or bust for the time being. Seeing this cable, I'd be happy to pick up a balanced version if I ever need it. For this quality, the price is quite good and the turnaround was better than some stateside vendors.

The construction is really solid and the cable is a lot lighter and more comfortable/flexible than I expected! Bends easy and lays flat. No microphonics. If I hold both the stock cable and this one in separate hands, they feel like they weigh similarly. The Forza one might even feel a little lighter if not for the big-boy ViaBlue connector on the end. The outer on the stock cable is actually quite heavy and stiff by comparison.

Looks really, really mint, too. Like, man... that sold me. Sleek black on black with that CNC'd splitter. The green "A" in the logo on the right-side connector is a nice touch. Quality connectors on the headphone side - beefier pins than stock that stay in really well, but are a lot easier to connect/remove.

I've never really been a cable-believer or a cable-doubter. Though I'm more on the "school-of-BJC/make-em-solid" side of the fence. So I can't really comment too much on the sound. I've put in around 20 hours on it at this point and nothing sounds wrong to me. I feel like it even sounds better at times, but I can't tell if that's because it looks/feels better or not. All that I really wanted for the money was the last cable I'd need for these headphones... something that looks nice, doesn't mess with anything, and lasts. Anything else is extra.

I definitely got that! No doubt I will be coming back for more in the future. Easy to recommend, considering how much more you can pay for something on this level of quality.

I said it was hard to judge build quality on day one almost two years ago. After two years of almost daily use I would say it`s excellent, pretty sure my headphones will die before the cable does.

I bought a Claire MK2 HPC from Forza for my ZMF Aeolus. From order date to delivery in Canada was just under 3 weeks, which I think is pretty standard. I'm not a huge believer that cables make a big difference - I think they can make a difference but you hit the point of diminishing returns really fast. Instead, I look for non-sound related qualities in cables - obviously length and terminations but also suppleness, microphonics, weight, and aesthetics.

The Forza Claire cable is very nice. It's well made, and is comfortable to use. The suppleness is just right - not stiff and janky like some cables. Not only does it coils up the way a cable should, it also uncoils without leaving odd loops or tangles. The connectors are decent - not as nice as the ones ZMF uses on its Lektrik cable, but still good quality. And it's pretty quiet in terms of microphonics, although I generally don't move around too much while listening to the Aeolus.

My only complaint is that I ordered the transparent insulation, expecting it to be clear like in the photos on Forza's website. It's not - it has a white translucency to it. It's kind hard to capture in photos, but instead of a straight copper look, you can see it's tinted white and almost looks silver, especially compared to the Lektrik cable below. Had I known this, I probably would have gone with the semi-transparent black. Obviously this doesn't the other qualities of the cable, and while it was initially a little disappointing, I've gotten over it and like the look of the cable.

Especially for the price, this is an excellent cable.
