I’d like to hear the Honeydew. Based on CA’s other single DDs I suspect the bass will overwhelm the rest of the FR but I live eternally in hope!

Found this quick review. It’s a first impression only but he says the Honeydew has “thunderous bass” and sounds V-shaped, so likely not for me.

If it anything like the Polaris, the bass will blow up your ears. Still a popular tuning for the masses thou.

I caved and ordered a Honeydew almost instantly when it was announced. Initial reports suggest that it indeed s bass cannon (mind you that's just what I was personally in the market for). It's also been said that the driver lacks some of the finesse of their more higher end DD driver as found in the Solaris, Dorado etc. Another thing I've read is that the bass can be overwhelming at higher volumes but at lower volumes it's a lot more balanced and you get nice bass presence even at very low listening levels. Either way I'm excited to hear them for myself.

@KenBall - it'd be interesting to see impedance vs frequency profiles for Satsuma, Mammoth & Holocene. Apologies if they've been published elsewhere and I've missed them.

@Bloom audio is sending me all 4 of CA's new iems for a "mega" loaner tour. So we'll all get to hear these.

So the Satsuma should be less bass cannon?

According to measurements from Crin, the Satsuma seems to be very Comet like but in a different body.
