Took this one 12/29/2019 in the Four Peaks Wilderness near Phoenix, AZ. Always nice when snow falls in the desert.

Taken in 2013 on a Fotoman 6x17 panoramic film camera, using Velvia film.

Oh man, those Velvia colours! Always on the edge of too much, but deliciously so...
Where did you get the transparency scanned @roshambo123 ?

Hmm, for some reason Google blocks me from seeing that image @thegunner100 . :(

But it reminded me that I got a nice one of a juvenile Cooper's hawk the other day.

Fixed! I think direct uploading to the photography forum was disabled sometime back. It's kind of ironic haha.

I like the curious expression on that hawk!

Fourth of July, camping north of Durango above Purgatory ski resort, more than 10,000 feet above sea level. I decided to take two days to get from Phoenix to Denver this time, a good choice if you have the time to spare.

This was the culmination of over two years of effort. We bought dragon fruit cuttings over two years ago. We planted them in California last spring and the cuttings grew to about three feet long, but we didn't get any flowers. We took cuttings from that plant when to we moved to Texas and started again this winter. This time we got buds. I didn't know this about dragon fruit: the buds only flower in the middle of the night and then the die the next day. We only had one shot to get this. Here my son is scraping excess pollen for storage later to cross pollinate another breed of dragon fruit which is expected to bloom next year.

Now past the solstice and on the way to winter, this one resonates...

Canada's SEAL team goes forth to confront the invasion fleet; shouts of "all hands on deck - prepare to repel borders!" echo across the water:

Artistically, this shot is prosaic and unremarkable. But man, image convolution of multiple exposures has just improved dramatically. It's hard to believe I handheld this shot and did zero post-processing.
