After hearing the 3DT with the tape mod applied, I can’t listen to FDX1 anymore. Bass on the latter sounds boomy and hollow in comparison. 3DT is very rich and well controlled.

I have the fdx1 as of yesterday. Great iem. They're now my second favorite after the starfields. I'm guessing the kato I have on order will take the starfields place. How does the oxygen compare to the kato? I was considering canceling my Kato order to find a used oxygen, or maybe even a used 3dt

It’s been too long since I owned the Oxygen to make any comparisons. One thing too note though, the Oxygen nozzles were fairly short, which could make for challenging fit for some ears.

What does the tape mod do, has anyone graphed the differences?

It tames shouty treble on the 3DT. I’m certain there’s a graph from @james444 earlier in this thread.

Real interested in how this one plays out vs. the ie900. Finally some DD's with good dynamics, low distortion and a workable frequency response. The time-domain stuff of the metal drivers in the DUNU stuff should tell a good amount of the story vs. the ie900.

They were busy with Canjam and wanted to wait until afterwards. So likely pretty soon. :)

Then your wish is delivered by EE’s new EVO, in my case the EVO’s bone conduction was superior to the MEST’s.

Vision Ears dual DD EXT sounds intriguing given the reports of its predecessors great mids... 3k for IEMs sounds anything but intriguing though.

Why does all this bone conduction talk give me a sense of health issues in the long run? lol

I've confirmed with them that we are doing a loaner tour along with another Dunu iem that they actually think SBAF will like better. It comes with interchangeable tuning tubes. But I'm a little weary of starting another loaner right now, we've got two Moondrop iems on a loaner, a JVC Drop iem loaner starting soon, tons of loaners in progress, and a bunch already lined up and coming soon.

So I'm tempted to wait for the Dunu loaner so people have time to sign up and listen to them.

Any way to do the DD IEMs together? Would be cool to be able to compare a few at the same time.

That would mean 4 iems on one tour and from different companies which I don't think is fair to them.

Anyone heard the new Sennheiser IE600? Lot of hype on the webz, but looking at some graphs it looks like it has significant treble heat.

Yeah, looks to have the same treble issues as the IE900, which was annoyingly sharp. Perhaps it will seem slightly less so on the IE600, since it has a more filled in upper midrange.

I have both IE 600 and IE900. I actually like the IE 600 a tad better, but they have different tuning . The IE 900 has a reference tune, and the IE 600 is a fun tuning like CA Dorado 2020.

Crinnacle rates it highly (ie600) but I think it’s far too gone in v shaped territory even with its improvements over ie900. Oh well I guess back to the waiting room for me… Softears Turri, but that price is wild
