I haven't, but by checking the harmonic distortion profiles of both amps (F3 being 2nd order dominant, F7 being 3rd order dominant), I'd bet if you compared them side-by-side you'd probably find the F7 to be 'faster' with the perception of 'more detail' but with more chance of sounding fatiguing vs. the F3 sounding a bit warmer and lush.

Take this with a full shaker of salt. This is a gross oversimplification and I'm just bullshitting, here. What speakers you mate with either of these amps and the resulting synergy will probably be far more important than which of the two you decide on.

Thank you very much, I never try F3 before. On 2013 - 2014 I bought M2, J2 for compare their sound and now I collected both of them.

J2 would be more like an F3 yeah. I briefly owned an F8 (J2 successor) and found it quite laidback/sweet.

Long time ago I'm very happy with this M2 cloned. It has a unique of sound but less gain then I need to match with 16dB gain Tube Preamp.

M2 for me felt a bit soft and rounded, compared to the immediacy and speed of most of the F models from First Watt.

This is the advantage of the DIY M2X which has the option for adapting the input boards and impacting the sound quite significantly.
