I think the real highlights for me were:
    • Audeze CRBN + LTA Z10E, which was one of the most fun headphone systems I've heard. The sound is very Audeze, which sets it apart from the assorted other electrostats I've heard (Hifiman's Jade, assorted Stax). The bass is a little deeper and the tone is a little richer. I just wish this wasn't a 10k combo.
    • Spatial Audio Labs new X4 speaker, which is now fully passive. I remember loving the sapphire tweeters on their M-series as well. X4 had a really excellent amount of bass without overloading the room, really smoothly integrated the horn-loaded AMT tweeter to those 12" woofers, and gave us a really wide soundstage in such a narrow room. They're also very rich sounding, though I think that might just be an LTA amp thing.
    • Fern & Roby's turntable is just beautiful and the plastic platters are secretly 18 lbs units with brass weights in them. The upgrade platter is solid brass and weighs almost 30 lbs. I didn't super love the Ravens 3 speakers, which are some gorgeous wooden cabinets with a custom SEAS driver, but they're a significant improvement over the Ravens 2. F&R Christopher mentioned that the Ravens 2 were bookshelves but everyone kept putting them on the floor and screwing up their sound, so he decided to build floorstanders.
    • Joseph Audio Pulsar 2 Graphene was a killer. It's a pretty straightforward bookshelf that just got everything right. I was pretty shocked at both the quantity and quality of the bass coming out of this guy. Ended up spending a lot of time in that room.
It was really cool to get out there and run into a few of you guys in the headphone area! Sorry to have missed everyone else though. Wrote some more stuff with pics on this imgur: https://imgur.com/a/A51EdNK

I’m a fan of Spatial. Nice to hear that they didn’t disappoint at the show.
